   You earn money here at HP by writing articles and attracting readers and driving traffic to your hubs/articles. You don't earn money by answering questions here. Most hubbers answer simply because they want to. Sure, there may be a few trolls here and there but you often will find they are not hubbers, they have written no hubs.

      Chloe Davis Smith is 100% right. Also, keep in mind that there are a lot of folks who write here simply to share their opinions & experiences and who do not consider themselves writers. Still, you may find a lot of useful info or even entertainme

   You don't earn money answering questions on Hubpages.
   You can get money if you answer the question as a Hub, earning adsense revenue for the Hub and the question leading people to the hub.

   You won't earn money for questions, but you might earn followers. You may walk away with some great friends.
   This is a good place to find ideas to write about and to find answers to things you want to know about. People from all kinds of professions gather here. Perhaps a tip or two from a seasoned writer is what you are looking for. Or it could be an answer to a simple question about your pets you are in need of.  Whatever it is, don't be surprised if you find it here.
