Is it just me? I get these notifications. I have about 150 per week for my sermons. More?
Someone wants to promote what I write in some fantsy pantsy way. Can I just say no?
Our publisher sends notices that I can go all big publicity. Should I do it in return for their publishing me? I am very appreciative of HP. Do I owe them to at least step up?
Eric, not sure what you are referring to. Is it HP wanting to move your sermons to a niche site or is this perhaps a spam-ish email from outside sources? I would be cautious of those.
Well, Eric, If you have the opportunity to have your sermon's professionally published I would go for it. I realise you feel indebted to HP, but maybe you can continue the sermons here under a slightly different name as well.
Thank you all my good friends. Yes I read a couple and they are to move to a niche.
I should give it a try.
Yes I do get few comments.
Maybe I should move from the sermon idea as it was only supposed to last a bit.
I shall now look forward to see how this works.
Again thank you all. Kind of cool we are buddies. Or maybe really cool.
Eric, everything I have written in the past 12 months, with the exception of the new Q&A series, has been moved to a niche site. Traffic is improved. If you have been invited, you should seize that opportunity.
Yes Linda I think you are right. I am even going to cut out the word "sermon". My son says that if you have something that is worthy to say then you should reach people. I think I just saw it as promotion. I have to get over it. Thanks.
If you're ever concerned about the validity of the emails you are receiving you can email the hubpages team and they can give you more information about what is going on.

I know this can range wildly, but what would you say is a good average number of views per hub per week?

We are currently taking a high level look at our notification system: under what circumstances we send a notification to users, how the notifications are sent (e.g. via email or the iPhone app), how users can choose to opt out of these, etc.An example of a notification that we already send is...

Do you get email notifications of a comment on your hub, but when you check, there is no comment?I've had this happen several times in the last week or so. The email says that so-and-so has left a comment on your hub. I go check and the comment isn't there. It usually shows up...

I noticed the past few days that any notifications of comments don't appear in the notifications list until I approve the comment. (I am seeing the comments as they show up next to the Hubs link on the homepage, so that is not an issue.) Newer notifications showed up before the comment did....

For the last couple of days, notifications of new comments on my hubs or the hubs/Questions I'm following aren't appearing in the "Notifications" drop down OR in my email until as much as 8 hours after they occur. This delay means I'm going to hubs or Q&As to read a "new"...
