Longer images are better for Pinterest promotion but not all the Hub's images show when we promote from Hubpages. I am still playing with my hubs to get the image in where it can be used but it is frustrating in appearance at times. On some hubs the longer image looks better lower in the article where it is unfortunately pretty much useless for Pinterest promo. This is so disappointing.
Does anyone else find long images in the upper section difficult to place so they flow with the article? Is there a "work around" way to get all the images to show for Pinterest promotion?
Why do you think that long images lower down in the article are useless for Pinterest promotion? When people click on the link and follow it to the image article, they see the whole article.
Because when I use the pin button if the long image is low in the article it does not show to pin to pinterest. Pins more likely to be shared are the long ones. I am not sure why the lower images do not show on hubs for this feature.
Just install the "Pin It" button to your browser and you can pin any image.
Yep I have that but I am pretty sure it didn't work on hubs. I went back in and moved the image up but am not sure why it has to work that way.

Hi! Is there a way to make it possible to add Pinterest sized images to the backend of our articles? I know they take up too much space within the article itself, but it would be nice to add one somewhere to get more traffic. Pinterest prefers images that are at least a 2:3 proportion, and gives...

Thanks Tess. I am also at a loss to understand it even though I've tried to follow the instructions. I've posted a few things that I think are links on Pinterest but I'm not sue anybody sees them. I shall await with eager anticipation the input of social media gurus.

There seems to be a trend for creating long collage pins for Pinterest. I am curious to know how these might display on the front page of the niche site pages. I notice that some of my longer images are cut off when displayed there. Is there a specific size that HubPages would...

I posted this a year or so ago, but I thought I'd repost for those who were interested in drawing Pinterest traffic. Using this method my highest pinned hub has around 43,000 pins, with my second highest being around 29,000. The rest of my hubs vary, depending on topic and Google traffic. I...

The last time editors went through PetHelpful, they replaced some of my top images with new images with text on them, apparently to attract more social media shares. That was fine and I thought the editor did a good job. Now, they are going through and removing those images, replacing them with...

I realized today that when I post an article to Redgage or certain social media sites like FB it puts a thumbnail of the first image of my Hub next to my text. Of course I am very careful to attribute every picture used in my work, but how the heck do you attribute that, or do you even have...
