    Hi Hubbers,

I'd like some help with passing the Quality Assessment Process. Will you please give feedback on my article How to Wake up Early - Everything You Need to Know (must be signed in to view). What can I do to improve? Thanks!

Also, I was asked to proofread my article.

      It's a great article!

      Couple of things...

Break the intro into two paragraphs. It's too blocky and uninviting at the moment. A little white space leads the reader's eye down the page.

Be consistent with capitalising your subheadings - use proper title case. Also in your highlighted points - there are a couple of instances where you're not starting a sentence with a capital letter.

Get rid of the live links to Pixabay and Pexels. You're only allowed to link out to the same domain twice and neither one requires attribution.

Change your Amazon capsule for an in-text link, and refer to the specific brand of candle in the text and say why you use it.

Change your -- to a proper em-dash. I have problems with this too because the HP text capsules don't 'translate' my emdashes correctly. Usually the editors fix it.

      Otherwise, it's really good.

Thanks a lot! I'll surely work on all of that! Do I replace those '--' with '-'? Or do I need to rephrase them without the '--'?

It's a long dash—like that. Copy and paste it in. There are no spaces either side.

          This might help:

Okay, I got it now. So, have I used the em-dashes properly, and I only need to replace them with the proper one? I'm a little confused.

Yes, they look okay to me, but I'm not going to check every one big_smile

Go over the text and make sure you haven't over-used them.

And I also wanted to ask if I can resend the link for feedback before submitting the article again. I'm afraid that If I fail to make the required improvements as suggested by the moderator I might not be able to get it published again. I still have a lot to learn. yikes

No, just use this thread. No need to post another one.

Also, I just noticed... you haven't put your article into a category. I'd suggest putting it under health or self-improvement, or whatever you think suits it best.

I have put it under health. I can't find the self-improvement one. Also, I would want you to thank you for taking so much time out for helping me with my article. You have really helped me a lot so far.
