Revise or rewrite non-featured hubs?

If you view my hubs, you will see it has been a while since I've been active. I have been so busy with work I simply didn't have time to update anything. Now, I have a bunch not featured (only 7 out of 28 are featured).

Only a couple show not featured 'do to quality', the rest are due to lack of traffic. What would be the best approach to all of them lacking traffic?

On the hubs with quality issues, is there a way to tell what needs corrected?

    Thanks.

Perhaps you should spend a little time looking at what HP expects from articles now? Think search-friendly titles, well-laid out content that people can easily read on their phones. Check your hubs in mobile preview (when you are in edit mode).

There are lots of resources here: http://hubpages.com/learningcenter/contents

If you put the hubs in "Edit Mode", it will give you a few tips on what makes a "stellar" hub these days. They expect full size pictures, because many readers are using phones to look things up. Longer hubs are encouraged, a few hundred words doesn't do it anymore. Amazon capsules must be EXACTLY related to the hub and preferably something you personally have used. The grammar rules are a lot stricter too.

But even though it takes much work to make all the changes, it's worth it. I have 141 featured hubs. It's just time consuming to fix them up. You will find a lot more views on the niche sites if you revise them and submit them. Best of luck.

Thanks for the tip about edit mode. I managed to write a new hub yesterday about garden pests, and edited/updated an old post today.

The article I wrote yesterday already has 'featured' status and the 2nd highest hub score out of all my articles! That was a surprise... smile

Hi Billis, you heard theraggededge, right. Just follow are advises. It is a tonic for me also.
Re-edit your hubs. I have 24 hubs and 3 are now featured (2 a few weeks ago), and I am on to put out another 2 with encouragement from HP. It is all hard work.
No matter how active you are, continue to stay active and focus.
    Good luck to you.

Thanks for the comment. I actually reviewed some of my older hubs and several are only 500 - 750 words, so I'm going to try updating them slowly, updating and expanding them to test how that works.

After I get the hang of things again, then I'll start learning about the Amazon products (as that changed a lot too).
