I've come across this word "evergreen" in many hubs. I haven't figured out what it means. Appreciate an explanation. Thanks!

An article that's always useful or valid and never dates. For instance it could be a "how to" guide, a medical article about a disorder, a scientific hub, or one about gardening. Evergreen hubs don't go out of date unlike articles about current affairs or what celebrities have got up to. Therefore evergreen articles can potentially produce earnings indefinitely.

Note: Some evergreen articles are "deciduous" and seasonal and earning can vary as traffic changes during the year. E.g. articles about gardening or Christmas smile

"Evergreen" articles are about issues that touch realities. For example, an article about taking care of the teeth that points as a reference guide can be evergreen because it concerns every person. An article about how grand mother makes her daily cake can be evergreen but not christmas cake. Thank you.

Per American Heritage Dictionary: Perennially fresh or interesting; enduring. An article on 2018 Grammy Awards is not an evergreen article. Mortgage rates in 2017 is not an evergreen article.  Top Grammy Award Winners is an evergreen article. 12 Easy Steps to Lower Your Mortage Rate is an evergreen article.

Thank you all for the clarification. I think most of my articles are evergreen then.

They are hubs that are written and then printed off on paper made from evergreen trees, such as the Western Red Cedar or the Scott's Pine.  This helps preserve the article for future generations.  Most evergreen wood,  especially of the shortleaf pine and table mountain pine variety, can easily have a lifespan of 100 years, with many reaching 200 or more years old.  When a collection of hubs are reached, they are then bound in wood, typically from an old-growth forest.  Occasionally, "G" Master may stumble upon one of these evergreen articles and choose to etch the title into the great stone tablet of the web.  In the event that happens, the minions of "G" Master take note and are able to then traverse the web to find your evergreen article.  When that happens, Rejoice!  It may be short-lived, but the "G" master has smiled down upon you.

    Was I close?

Thanks. But make it down to earth within the hub circle so others will learn what an evergreen hub is all about.
I marvel at your imaginary story. It is superb.
