Could someone please advise me as to the correct use of the Callout in our articles? And if you have any articles where callouts are being used I would like to take a look at them. I have them on two of my articles (full body workout routine and push/pull/legs workout routine), but am unsure they are being used properly, so if someone could review these and let me know I'd also appreciate that. Thank you.

Don't use them for sub-titles. Only for snippets which you want to stand out. However, remember that text in call-out capsules can't be 'seen' by search engines.

I only use them for quotes.

I did not know text in callouts can't be picked up by search engines. Thanks for letting me know that.

Do you mean quotes from your own article or quotes of what others have said on the topic?

I searched one of my articles on Google and a callout came up where the summary should be. That particular article has a quote callout right at the beginning. Is it best to avoid callouts at the beginning of an article?

I am not sure that text in callouts can't be seen.  They used them as the title to our capsules when they first started editing.  I think from an old thread they are both H2, but read differently by google, so the capsule subtitle became preferred again.

If you have something that will catch the reader's attention and is SEO friendly, they should be helpful.

I often use them for warnings in guides. I still wish we could choose a colour, e.g. yellow or orange for warnings.

Do you have an example of that you could refer me to Eugbug?

Look at my guide to wiring a plug and also the one about how to sow seeds.

Ok; thanks. I'll take a look at those.

Probably wouldn't be where I would put them; but I'm still trying to figure out some of the different ways they can be used.

To be specific, and Glenn Stock or staff can correct me if I have this wrong: The text in the callout was not related to the following text, as it is with the capsule heading and the following text within the capsule. Meaning that when Google is looking for snippets to display in SERPs, the Capsule header and following text are displayed. In the callout situation, only the callout text would be returned, without the following text.
