    Hello,
I have been with Hubpages for 6 years, however am just now coming back after taking a break for awhile.

I submitted two articles and they were approved right away, became featured posts and one was even selected to be published on another site.

I submitted this one, initially with links going to the cities, websites and Facebook pages of the places I was talking about and got a note saying it was not approved. I have tried tweaking 3 times now and still can't get it to go through.

Suggestions, comments and feedback welcomed and appreciated

Cannot see the article...however, if you have a lot of links, I'd delete them.  This is frowned upon these days.

Thank you so much for taking the time to respond. I really do appreciate it. After resubmitting 7 time I finally deleted the article, am going to tweak it and  then try republishing fresh.

Question about links...the article I wrote was on 8 coffee shops I visited in Door County (popular WI vacation spot). In the article I put links to their website and Facebook pages so people could find out more information since I only provided a short summary paragraph for each. Is this ok, or is this something they still frown upon? I guess I didn't consider this spam as it was a legitimate link for more information readers may be interested in.

        Thoughts???

I would suggest removing the first graphic ad replacing it with something more relevant, and adding a map of the locations.

Sorry, I thought I responded to you. Thank you for taking the time to read this over and provide suggestions. I did figure out how to create a map of my tour and will be including this

Welcome back. My suggestions are admittedly nitpicks:

      1) Some sentences could use more commas, like after "thankfully" here:
"Thankfully Door County has yet to disappoint in providing us with new shops to visit each year."

      2) Capitalize "google".

      3) Watch for grammar mistakes, like the lack of "the" or "a" here:
      "Ever directionally challenged individual..."

Personally, I think your second image is much stronger than your first; I'd suggest moving the map to later in the article.

    Thanks Jeremy,
Thanks for taking the time to look it over and for your suggestions. I have to admit I am rather confused by all of this as everything else I have submitted recently has been picked up by other publications due to the quality. I was really hoping someone would find a major mistake I had made, or rule I violated to explain what was going on.

I have tried resubmitting now 7 times with no luck. I finally have deleted it and am going to try tweaking and resubmitting as a "new" article

So just a quick update...HubPages emailed me explaining there had been a mistake and this should have been approved as a featured article the entire time...LOL...thank you again for all your time, advice and suggestions!
