The feeling of first approved featured article in any site is good one for any author. Which was your first approved and featured article in hubpages? Can you share the link so that others especially the new authors here can go through it? It will be interesting to go through them.

My first featured article is; '6 Passive Income Methods To Make Passive Income Online'.                                             But I'm afraid I couldn't provide you the link for sharing. HubPages had forbidden writers doing that upon  pain of great penalty.                                       Alicia(Linda) has made reference to the issue as 'promotional'.                                     Seriously, all you (and newbies) have to do is to visit my profile (and other  authors)...again, no link here because of serious  penalties...in my case, visit my profile, and click on articles. It's listed #5.                                       Happy reading!wink

      Hello Umesh ji,
Thank you for reminding me of my earlier days of HubPages.
My first article was published in 2012– Approved, featured and very well appreciated by fellow writers, and it is still doing quite well. It was a small story (flash fiction), with some positive thoughts, titled ‘No End to Desires.’
Thank you for the interesting forum thread.

I remember my first approved article and was very happy. I don’t want to share its title or link, though. You’ve come up with a lovely idea, but I’m wondering if HubPages might consider sharing links to be promotional.

Great question, Umesh. But did you know there has always been a simple way for anyone to know your first published article? It's already revealed. But I won't tell since Linda and others may not want to reveal. Linda is also right about it seeming self-promotional to post links if we are not asking for help.

Maybe we can give a little info about it that may help others without risking being copied or violating TOS.
Mine is about relationships, it's on LetterPile, it never got a whole lot of traffic (to date, only 5700 views) but enough that it ranks 30th out of 106 articles. The hubscore stays in the 70s. I update it every 2 to 4 months. If I would do anything differently to make it more successful, I would have added more content, an Amazon product and submitted it to PairedLife.

      Hi

I started in 2015 with Hub pages and have written over 200 articles, so I cannot remember the exact one. I will try to do the search and keep this in mind so I can answer your next time for your question.
      Thanks

Umesh, my first was “How to Become Self-sufficient and Live Off the Grid” and is published in Tough Nickel. I can’t provide a link though as others have said. I will read yours now.

    Miebakagh57:
I did not know that within the community also we cannot give links. Probably Hubpages takes it as promotion of the article within community. As many of us are mentioning others articles in forum post and we are commenting on that, I thought it as a normal thing. Anyway noted for future. Thanks.

I would say I am lucky to have all my hubs approved and featured to date but it’s only 40 so far and the first one was a poem highlighting the craziness during the COViD times...and it’s not one of my favourites....but yes I was delighted to see it pass the quality control and then published and featured and moved to LetterPile at the very first attempt and had that not been the case, and if I did not have the warm support from fellow hubbers, I probably would not have continued writing at all. So yes it was a special moment.

When I first started writing on HubPages, there were no hoops to jump through to be "featured." You hit Publish and voila, your article was online for all to see. Back then, there was a feature called "Hub of the Day." That honor was bestowed on my first article within a week of posting. As a newbie, I was thrilled when I saw all those views rolling in.

That article has sadly fallen from its original glory. It's a seasonal article and it's over 11 years old now. That article was initially named "How to Build a Really Mediocre Gingerbread Village in Only 6 Hours. The editors in all their wisdom have chosen to change the name to "How to Keep Your Gingerbread House From Falling Apart." It's less catchy but more descriptive I suppose.

Thanks, Umesh, for bringing me down the memory lane of Hubpages about two years back. My first article was a World War II one based on a secret operation named "Operation Tracer."This article was well appreciated by fellow hubbers and gave me my first real adrenalin boost to continue my journey here.

Since then I have been fortunate enough to find great friends who have not only encouraged me but also acted as mentors in my writing journey. Thanks to all my hubber friends.

My first article was "Top 12 Sights to See in Porto". That is over 5 years ago and 40 articles ago now. HubPages has never been a great earner for me, but I appreciate the writing community and the support here.
