Well! I have come across some of the articles at hub network sites containing spelling errors in them. Like someone wrote "its to cold to...", "I saw you comming", etc, etc. The articles were being featured by high scoring hubbers. I don't want to degrade anyone but want to bring my observation into the hubpages editorial community. As I feel it does not give a good impression to a novice hubber like me when going through high scoring articles & hubbers with errors in their work being over looked. And I have to work really hard to get articles featured. Kindly, a humble request to the hubpages moderators to look into this observation to overcome the lapse!

Yes, there have been others who have complained about these things, and you are spot on with your comments.   However, even the best of us make mistakes, and this includes the moderators.  Best thing to do is to send an email to team@hubpages.com and make them aware of errors you find so that they can have corrections made.  With tens of thousands of articles to review, some are bound to slip through the cracks!

Yeah Timtraveler! I agree with you some things can slip through the eyes of moderators as well. Thanks for agreeing to my point of view too! I would like to write to hub team but unfortunately I am unable to find the article again to recommend to them for analysis. I only remember the initial name of the writer but hub is not revealing profiles via their search engine. But will try to dig in deeper.

I wouldn't worry about it.  Just make it a point next time you see mistakes to send an email to the team.  Or, if you like, you can privately email the author and share this info with him or her.  Many are very receptive to receiving this type of assistance.

Typos and mistakes happen in writing. I don't know anyone who likes them. I knew of English teachers that gave an automatic "D" if you turned in a paper with even one grammar or punctuation mistake.  I have worked with editors with the same mentality who couldn't spell if their life depended on it.  It's a vicious subject with some people. I take it in stride and fix the errors when I see them.

Yes kenna I agree with you too. As I am a language teacher by profession so I don't tolerate spelling errors as well. Because it really does not give a good impression to the reader if there are typos errors frequently in number of articles indeed. Thanks for supporting my point!

I was a language teacher also in my former life, so know exactly how you feel!  However, I've been known to make some bloopers myself...reason being that it is very hard to see your own mistakes!!

Exactly! That's the point. I agree.

Since we're so critical of our own work, I find that many of us dread (and sometimes skip) the proofreading step in article-writing. And even those of us that don't can still miss the occasional typo.

Try your best to avoid mistakes, but they happen even to the best of us, and one or two may not exclude an article from reaching a niche site.

I agree with you jeremy the proofreading is really an important aspect before submitting any piece of writing. To err is human after all!

All in all, catching your typos or any other mistakes in your writing and correcting them is the best we can do.
