Well, its hard to put into words really. I have been very unwell for several weeks and during that time I had an email from Adsense saying I wouldn't be showing ads any more and I have no idea why. I see that several weeks ago my earnings have dropped from almost 2 dollars a day to just a few cents a day. So far this month I have earned $5.99 and its been literally years since I have seen figures as low as this. I know I have quite a bit of editing to do with putting it off being so poorly but there's got to be a bigger reason for the pitiful visits to my articles. One amazon sale in a month and that's a very small one.

I was on Healdove with my best articles. Can anyone shed any light on what's going on please? Thanks in advance.

I don't think you lost your Adsense account. If you did you would not have earned 5.99 but 0. You like me and a few others have received an email regarding the closure of the Google adwords account that is used for paid advertising on search and other websites (the people who place ads for adsense).

      Take a look at this thread: https://hubpages.com/community/forum/34 … celled-wth

Hi, meloncauli. I know the situation is frustrating, but there's hope for the future. Since you've been ill, you may not know that the HealDove site is being reorganized. Samantha's post explains this. https://hubpages.com/community/forum/34 … memindbody

Another point to note is that HubPages discovered a coding error that affected our article views, which they've fixed. The fix may lead to improvements once Google has processed it.

I am now down to average 20 cents a day. This is what I was earning within 3 months of joining. I find it almost unbelievable.

Do you submit your articles to the niche sites every 2 weeks? Since the majority of your articles are on the HP main site, you are going to have almost no page views from them. I think the traffic for Healdove is not much better.
I am not sure yet about the Healthproadvice site, but if I were you I would try to get my articles onto there.

Thanks. I thought it was done automatically by HP. It always was in the past. Has something changed that I am not aware of?

As far as I know it is the same as always. All new articles are evaluated, and from time to time the older articles with good traffic are evaluated too. If you have articles that do not have much traffic, however, they may not be seen for a long time, if ever. Asking HP to move them makes them take a look at them right away.
(This worked very well with my articles that were performing poorly on Google. Some of them are still not doing well but overall the page views went up. Some of them increased significantly, so it is worth the extra effort to edit and submit for evaluation.)

Being on a niche site makes a big difference for an article. A well written one that didn't get much traffic can suddenly start getting noticed. It's worth checking it out. Just be sure you check that whatever you submit is up to standards. The grammar and punctuation have to be perfect, or close, and the pictures need to be the right size. Proofread it well, and update if necessary.
