I am disgusted with the ugly suggested readings next to my religious natured poetry. Why do you allow this? I thought Hub Pages was better than this. I have been a member for over six years. I have many friends and they don't appreciate this either. Please do not post such trashy articles. You are better than this Hub Pages.
Hi, most of us are dealing with this ongoing issue that doesn't appear to have a solution that will satisfy us. It has been addressed by HP staff. I'm not really clear on why it continues except that it has to do with being partners with Maven. See link to earlier forum:
https://hubpages.com/community/forum/34 … -owlcation
Your complaining to the wrong people. Contact the team to discuss this issue with them.
Not everybody is so fortunate to have all their articles moved to the niche sites and those porn like recommended articles still show on HP articles.
Seriously. That's the right perspective right there. Folks could make their own website and stop complaining about this one.
Its a valid complaint and I agree with it. I think we need to keep working towards having it fixed. No need to read forums threads you are not interested in.
No need to respond to commentary you're not interested in.
TT2 suggestion to contact the team is the best solution so far. The more they hear about the problem or dissatisfaction the more likely they are to correct it. The old squeaky wheel syndrome comes to mind.
It has been changed at the niche sites, but articles that are still on HP still show those nasty recommended articles.
It has not changed at the niche site level. I still have articles on Owlcation and else where that have links back to hp and other questionable content via other niche sites.
Like Tt2 said contacting the team is your best option. However, I wouldn't expect a response or a change in linked content anytime soon. This has been an ongoing issue for some time now and it does not appear the staff is looking to change the algorithm/content any time soon.
One thing you can do is select "NO AD" in the edit mode. You won't make any money on the article, but it's a sure way to eliminate offensive ads on spiritually oriented articles. Blessings!
It's not the ads that are the problem people are talking about - its the articles in the recommended section.
Every time someone starts a new forum thread about these "nasty" articles, an angel gets its wings.
It's like being sad your life is going too well, so you dream up something to complain about. Or a burning desire to give wings to angels, of course.
As a Christian all I can do is realize this is something to be expected. The world has not changed since the time of Jesus. I think this Bible verse explains it. These are the words of Jesus.
John 15:18-19 “If the world hates you, remember that it hated me first. If you belonged to the world, it would love you as it loves its own. But I have chosen you out of the world, so you don’t belong to it. That is why the world hates you.

I noticed what appears to be an automatically generated link in one of my Pethelpful articles. I didn't add it, and I can't get rid of it. I can't even see it in edit mode. Even if I delete the word, it just adds a new link at the next instance of that word.It links out to another Pethelful article...

Hello Beautiful Souls,Has anyone else noticed that we are having articles displayed as related/suggested articles in the body of the article? And sometimes in the between the comment as well. It seems like a distraction. It doesn't look good. (I have just noticed it on Discover) Something like...

What happened to the auto-suggested similar articles on HobbyLark? It was a nice feature that let me read random top 10 lists for a bit with zero brain energy.I noticed it got removed a little while back and thought it was a bug or something.Any idea what happened to it?

I see that there was a forum discussion about this 4 months ago. Maybe this is a glitch that comes up from time to time. Is anyone else having this problem? For my last two hubs, there were *no* suggested links. One of the articles is about enhancing photos. The other is about religion. I don't for...

I've noticed that advertisement or links are being placed in between the lines of a poem or haiku verse. This is very distracting to the reader and disrespectful to the creative writer. Has anyone else had concerns about this?

Hi all - no matter what I do, my articles keep getting rejected at Constant Content. The first time they said I sent a blank file. The second time they said they couldn't accept content with the type of address I put in and said I was using promotional content which is not true. I was very careful...
