I am disgusted with the ugly suggested readings next to my religious natured poetry. Why do you allow this? I thought Hub Pages was better than this. I have been a member for over six years. I have many friends and they don't appreciate this either. Please do not post such trashy articles. You are better than this Hub Pages.

Hi, most of us are dealing with this ongoing issue that doesn't appear to have a solution that will satisfy us. It has been addressed by HP staff. I'm not really clear on why it continues except that it has to do with being partners with Maven. See link to earlier forum:

Your complaining to the wrong people.  Contact the team to discuss this issue with them.

Not everybody is so fortunate to have all their articles moved to the niche sites and those porn like recommended articles still show on HP articles.

Seriously. That's the right perspective right there. Folks could make their own website and stop complaining about this one.

Its a valid complaint and I agree with it. I think we need to keep working towards having it fixed. No need to read forums threads you are not interested in.

No need to respond to commentary you're not interested in.

My solution is simple; I never visit my articles. big_smile

TT2 suggestion to contact the team is the best solution so far. The more they hear about the problem or dissatisfaction the more likely they are to correct it. The old squeaky wheel syndrome comes to mind.

It has been changed at the niche sites, but articles that are still on HP still show those nasty recommended articles.

It has not changed at the niche site level. I still have articles on Owlcation and else where that have links back to hp and other questionable content via other niche sites.

Like Tt2 said contacting the team is your best option. However, I wouldn't expect a response or a change in linked content anytime soon. This has been an ongoing issue for some time now and it does not appear the staff is looking to change the algorithm/content any time soon.

One thing you can do is select "NO AD" in the edit mode. You won't make any money on the article, but it's a sure way to eliminate offensive ads on spiritually oriented articles. Blessings!

It's not the ads that are the problem people are talking about - its the articles in the recommended section.

Every time someone starts a new forum thread about these "nasty" articles, an angel gets its wings.

It's like being sad your life is going too well, so you dream up something to complain about. Or a burning desire to give wings to angels, of course.

As a Christian all I can do is realize this is something to be expected.  The world has not changed since the time of Jesus.  I think this Bible verse explains it.  These are the words of Jesus.

John 15:18-19 “If the world hates you, remember that it hated me first. If you belonged to the world, it would love you as it loves its own. But I have chosen you out of the world, so you don’t belong to it. That is why the world hates you.
