I need help formatting this article. I need specific how-to information. I've been sick for a year (OK now) and cannot remember how to use the formatting tools for subheadings and  in-article highlighted quotes.

There's nothing to remember. The space for the subheadings is right there in the edit mode of each capsule.

If you want to add a subhead within the capsule, then highlight it and click in the box that currently says 'paragraph'. The drop-down will display the options. Heading 2 is the same as the heading of the capsule. Heading 3 is slightly less weightier.

Use the call-out capsule for quotes. You can select quotation in the options within the capsule.

Just go into edit on a capsule and play around with it. No changes will take place until you click Save.

Edit: my body's given up on all that stuff. I'd rather write a 2000 word article.

        Hello theraggededge!
Thank you for the tips. And the comment. My body is in about the same ballpark.

          Hi again,
I got the paragraph/subheading thing. But the "Call Out" capsule for quotations within a paragraph--I still do not see it. Just the single quotation mark is all I find. That brings a centered item to the side when it needs to be in the middle.

Call out captions were retired as a feature.  You can't do that anymore.

I added one to a new hub yesterday  Or are we talking about different things?

Dr Billy, they are separate capsules, they don't work within a text capsule.

You don't need the callout and, in fact, awhile back the team suggested we not use it.  I would suggest writing your article on a word processing program and editing it there.  Then copy and paste it into your first capsule...and then continue cutting and pasting until each section is divided into its own space.  You can go back after that and title the sections in the space provided .  Subtitles should tell the basic story of your article so that people who want to browse instead of read can get the gist of what you are saying.  Check out some of my stuff to see how I do the formatting.  If you need more help, feel free to email me.  Sorry you've been ill and hope you're feeling better.

TT2: the team suggested we don't use it for subheadings, as some were. Using it for quotes is fine. The text within is not picked up by a search engine as I recall.
