    Hi Hubbers,

I've been around for quite a while, but I'm stuck on trying to get this article featured.   It may be too close to my heart since my husband has been enjoying this hobby for decades.

This article has been in a mostly published state for approximately 8 years with many edits to keep it current with the changes required. It is a personal favorite, but one of my very long articles.  I fear the length might be an issue since so many recent articles I see are less than 750 words. For all of that, I have 1 Amazon module with a personal image and recommendation.

Can someone point me in the right direction? Thanks in advance!
    Beth

First thing I noticed while scrolling through your article is that it's more a personal blog post. I don't think readers are interested in how many salvaged cars you sold.
Some of your photos are bad quality and too small in size which makes them blurry. There are typos in your text.

    What Titia says -- plus

This is not a "Lens." HubPages publishes "articles."

Upper case should not be used in text; it's considered shouting and that's rude.

The outbound links are a problem. HubPages doesn't want readers to go off to other sites in the middle of an article.

The advice that Titia offered is good.  A couple of other things.  Look back over how to format an article in the learning center as there are a number of things to correct.  Take out the all caps.  Check formatting of your headings and subheadings.  HP might have a thing about there being too many outbound links.

Remove the Amazon capsule and replace with a link.  HP seems to prefer the link to the capsule.  Plus you need to say that you specifically used the manual you are recommending and provide personal information about it.  Don't use the heading for it and take out the picture and heading for the other manuals.  HP probably has a problem with you saying "We Highly Recommend Haynes Repair Manuals" as it sounds like HP recommends them instead of you recommend them.  With the following large photo of four other manuals and accompanying heading it makes it sound like you have written this largely to promote the manuals.

The other thing is I don't know how widely this topic will appeal especially since you say, "You must be experienced at car repair & body work to rebuild vehicles successfully!" And much of the information is specific to what you need to know if you are doing this in New York.  I'm not sure how many people are trained mechanics also trained in body work capable of rebuilding vehicles who live in New York.

The article is featured as it has ads.  It's just not on a niche site and I doubt they will put it on one the way it is now but if you fix some of these issues you'd have a better shot.

You need to check all of the links. One of the New York Government ones doesn’t work. HubPages generally doesn’t accept more than two links to the same domain. I don’t know whether they’ll make an exception for a government site. Another problem is that one of the eBay users that you recommend is no longer registered there.

You might want to consider a couple of other points, Personally, I would like to see more emphasis on ensuring the safety of a salvaged and rebuilt vehicle. In addition, some of the “Past Comments from Readers” within the article have English errors, especially the one from “anonymous.” Since the comments are included in the article instead of in a separate capsule, they may cause a problem when the article is assessed.

Thank you all so much.  I have a lot of work to do, and I really appreciate all your suggestions to get this article in shape.
