Am I one the right track with my hubs?

I just can't tell anymore. I'm starting to write more now but I haven't even managed to get even a little bit of traction on my previous hubs.

Does anyone have any suggestions or should I just keep on truckin'.

      Hi,

Well, I'm pretty new to HubPages so I don't think I'm an authority on this matter. smile

However, I recently started promoting my articles more. I promote them on Pinterest and Quora.

Pinterest is all about visuals, Quora takes a bit more time.
If you're not familiar with Quora, it's basically a site where people ask questions and other people answer them.

After writing a new article, I now head on straight to Quora.
I don't want to seem like I'm there solely for the purpose of promoting my article (and that really isn't the case).
That's why I create personalized answers including an excerpt from my article and then I just include a link to my article to those who are interested in reading more.

We'll see how it goes, but I think that it did contribute to my traffic already.

      Good luck!

Hi -- judging from your cruise line article, you definitely have what it takes to do well here. However at 16 articles you are just scratching the surface. If it's true that you can write a quality article in 30 minutes ; ) then I would say a few days of concentrated writing would be in order.

In my experience about one in ten articles actually get traffic, and it's almost impossible to predict which one will take off. It also takes time, as in a year or more, for articles to start producing.

Finally, I suggest you find a niche or topic that you can "own." Maybe it's what to expect from various cruise lines, or maybe something totally different. But you'll be leveraging your interests and experiences if you write 10, 20, or more articles about one general topic that you don't mind writing about again and again.

      Good luck to you!
