I used to enjoy participating in the "Tutorials and Community" forum where we used to discuss all sorts of things about HubPages. In a small way forum debates may have contributed to the direction, growth, development and sustainability of HP.

Nowadays, all I see in the forum is long lists of "I'd like feedback on my article" and quotes of the day. Where is the community interaction gone?

I propose to split "Tutorials and Community" into 2 separate topics. I would wish to see a fresh  "Community" forum page when I click on the forums key. Then, if and when I'm in a learning or teaching mood, I'd hop over to get info or offer help in the "Tutorial" forum.

    What do others think?

I'm confused about the term "community interaction".  What topics would be acceptable in your proposed Community forum?

The topics we used to communicate about ranged from sharing ideas about writing and layout  practices, how to promote one's work, amendments to certain unpopular HP policies. We seemed to be more engaged, more involved in the road HubPages was heading. Nowadays the forum in thin and uninteresting and constantly interrupted by "I'd like feedback on my article".
By splitting up "Tutorials and Community" into 2 separate topics and shoving "I'd like feedback on my article" posts into the Tutorials topic, we may have a chance of reviving the community?
    Just thinking...

The requests for feedback are automatically posted under 'Help for New Hubbers'/'Improving Your Article'.

The problem is that people access the forum in different ways. I don't use the categories on the left at all, only the Discussion Threads on the right. So it matters not which category the posts are in for me, I just click on the ones I'm interested in.

That's how I use it also.  I only pay attention to categories when I am posting a question.
