Hi,
I was just writing a listicle and had an ordered list of over 100 quotes. I wanted to split it up with illustrations - easy just split the list up in sections. But then the ordered list starts from 1. again.
I tried to fix this with some easy html adding ol start="5" instead of ol (have removed the brackets as they are recognised as html here and stripped out) but the editor doesn't recognise this. I think this would be a good piece of functionality to add to the editor.
This is possible in HTML, but it's not supported on HubPages. I agree, it could be useful. It's one of several things we've requested, but the team probably have higher priority things to do.
This snippet of HTML starts a list with item "5":
<ol start="5">
<li>Coffee</li>
<li>Tea</li>
<li>Cocoa</li>
</ol>
Yes that's exactly what I was trying to do. I guess the more people that request it the higher up on the priority list it goes. Not a huge deal for me but nice to have.
Interestingly, for fans of Roman numerals, this works on HubPages:
<ol type = "I" >
<li>Coffee</li>
<li>Tea</li>
<li>Cocoa</li>
</ol>

1. Could you2. type the numbers in yourself, as I'm doing here (and ensuring one point extends beyond the line to see what that looks like).3. And separate each point with an empty line.4. Hmmm. The only thing I don't like much is the line extending underneath the number without being offset.5....

I give! I've searched the first 3 or 4 pages of "Getting Help" Forum and I've read the entire Link's Capsule section in the Learning Center (http://hubpages.com/learningcenter/using-hubtool). That Hub, by the way, has a large number of Quick Links in it. How do you create a list of topics...

Okay, how come edits I make to lenses that just were imported to Hubs are being shown real-time to my Hub readers even though I have not yet clicked the button to republish them?My "old" HubPages accounts don't act like this. I consider this to be a huge problem as I do not want...

I tend to create long-form content. A table of contents or a search function at the top of a hub would greatly benefit my users who may already know a bit about the subject and are looking for something new.

I save the HTML of articles to my hard drive and also backup onto an external drive, but my second backup is that the files on my hard drive are automatically uploaded to Google Drive. I tried opening the HTML of one today and the first problem is that the HTML file doesn't run off Google Drive so...

I often use my iPad for checking in on hubpages and other various networks that I belong to. However I have found that I am unable to work on my hubs with my iPad. I don't really know what the glitch is. I am guessing it is coming from Apple's side however it would be great if hubpages could work...
