re CCPA.....Appealing to those with better grasp of GoogleJargon than I. Not sure if this needs to be acted on by writers in general on HP - just making sure that we don't have to take any action on this Adsense announcement? It's only relevant for users living in California right?
As for here, I'm sure HP will do whatever needs to be done. As for elsewhere; I put up a big, fat sign a long time ago saying in effect, "...has absolutely no freaking interest in a visitor's personal data." Not kidding. Besides, it's not a business site anyway.
I also believe that we have nothing to worry about as far as HP is concerned. They will manage it on our behalf. Regarding other sites owned by you, you have to select one of those two options provided in the AdSense account.
I have opted to "not to track" the personal data of others for ad placements. So, the ads now placed will never use the visitors' personal likes or interests when a California user visits the blog.
I think this is the proper way to deal with it. Anybody with better understanding? Please provide your suggestions.
