    Hi Hubbers,

I'd like some help with passing the Quality Assessment Process. I did the changes as suggested by two hubbers. Yet, I could not feature my article. Can you please help me find out where I am still lacking?

    Thanks!
Here is my article: The Essence of Shrimad Bhagavad Gita: Unleashing Shree Krishna's Original Message! (must be signed in to view)

I would remove the first photo and use one with English translation, if you must, but not an advert. Perhaps you can give an English translation to the Sanskrit words. Sanskrit quoted and English quoted appropriately.

The article seems fine. If the text seems long then include  another text capsule. if you need further help write to me here: ceeccil@hotmail.com

You still have a link to dadabhagwan.org which HP probably considers to be a spam link. I would remove this link and then resubmit.

You also have a couple of paragraphs written in a non-English, non-European language. These also should be deleted as in HP's eyes they could translate as anything, such as hate speech. (I'm sure your paragraphs are not, but HP doesn't know that.)

      Hi Beth,

Thanks for your feedback. However, we have given the same domain link in two of my previous articles and there the HubPage accepted. So, can you please explain how this one link is understood to be a spam link? I  want to know so that I can understand how HubPage works and how can I avoid spammy content totally.

They'll be unfeatured soon, unless you remove them.

You can't promote other sites here - it's considered spammy.

Oh! Then, what kind of links should we give to support our content? Or is it so that HP does not accept any kind of links at all? Please share your views further.

It's fine to link to bona fide references, but your inclusion of that site in all your articles, and linking to it several times within the same article is promotion. HubPages does not want you to send readers off the site.

References should be labelled as such and added at the end of the article.

The following might or might not be an issue. It's purely my personal feel.

I think you geared this write-up towards readers with an elementary knowledge of Hinduism. For example, you mentioned Lord Krishna and Arjuna in the first para without any introduction. You assume the reader is familiar with these two legendary characters.

This is fine if you're writing for a Hinduism platform. However, HubPages is geared towards the English speaking, Western world. Many might have not even heard about Arjuna. I feel you have to take a step back and reword this article so that anyone reading it wouldn't be baffled.

    Just my 2 cents.

      Hi CYong74,

Thanks for your feedback. Actually I had included this introduction in the second para. However, a hubber told me that with this introduction, she felt lost and could not connect to the main purpose (knowing the essence). So, I removed that para. Can you pls guide me further on this matter?

I remember seeing that comment. All I can say, it hinges on structure and sequencing.

Were I to write this article, I'll begin with a simple introduction of the Bhagavad Gita. What it is, what is is famous for, what are its cultural significance etc.

In a separate section under another header, I'd then introduce the origins. I.E. how Krishna sang this to Arjuna in the Mahabarata. I'd make sure to tersely introduce all characters mentioned. I may or may not mention the lead-up to the scene.

I'd do the above, before moving on to the "my experiences with the Gita" section.

But as theraggededge said, if you're trying to promote a link, unfortunately, that's not going to work here. We are very, VERY against backlinking and self promotion. If that's your intention, I'd advise you to not waste your time.
