Our company made a significant announcement about the acquisition of Petametrics, Inc., DBA LiftIgniter. Will this help our impressions and CPMs?

I write about technology, not here, at least not yet. An algorithm is a fancy way of saying we are matching data to ascertain data. I am sure Google does that as well as other companies. If we can personalize each reader's experience, that is better all around.

This is the sentence that struck me about the acquisition: "This platform is now available to Maven’s premium publishers."  Who are these premium publishers?  Do they include HubPages?  The niche sites?  Will we see any benefit from this acquisition?

Good question, OldRoses. I would like to think we are a premium. Our founder is now the president of Maven. That must make HP a shoo-in.

No, we are not premium anything. We are bulk.  Premium are folks with blogs that have 250K+ followers. We have no followers and no one will subscribe to know what we have to offer.  Premium publishers have subscribers, willing to pay monthly for that content.  We have received benefit in the past from advertisers willing to pay more than Google to place their ads.  A new aglo that targets better, could be to our benefit.

We must keep in mind, that while Google reigns supreme, they are delivering crap results.  Netscape and  Internet Explorer were once supreme.  Google could have made themselves obsolete with greed.   Only the consumer can say...The internet is fluid and in a new hostile environment, people might seek new sources for the goods in low supply.

Solaras, Thank you for the explanation on "Premium," and I agree with you about Google. It delivers crap results. I see it every day.

Yes, I saw that and as an explanation Maven says that "LiftIgniter leverages high-performance machine learning algorithms to determine in-the-moment user interest and intent to produce a personalized online experience."

Ripping, but what does the company actually do?

I am launching a new start-up to ameliorate user-specific information in order to provide real-time region specific real-time personalized algorithms available through block-chain technology and payable with bitcoin.
If you are able to help me with any great adjectives that are impossible to understand but sound really cool, please let me know and I can sell this thing. (I will send your payment via bitcoin.)

Got an email about this a little while ago. Read it, said "Ooookay, whatever" and deleted it.

I'm in Dr. Mark. How many rutabagas per share? They are becoming quite valuable you know.

My livestock seem to think they are valuable. Bev tells us that even people eat them!

Yes, but Bev lives in Wales. Just saying.

I eat them in British Columbia, but I have to admit that I used to live in Wales. That must be why I like them.

big_smile big_smile big_smile We eat all kinds of weirdness. Tonight it's Welsh lamb stew; cawl. My hubby makes it. He used to put swede in it but we didn't like it.

For the Americans - what is Swede? Swedes live in Sweden.

THis new acquisition sounds like it is using AI? The description really was a pile, wasn't it?
Anyway, they say buy low and sell high. I'm a big spender, I just bought 200 shares of Maven for $70. Maybe as a shareholder I can get an introductory course in how to write nonsensical articles?
