I'm having the worst earnings for years

Thanks mostly to the plague, my CPM dropped to more than half. I'm happy with the traffic as it hits more than 200 per day, but my earnings are smaller than ever.

Yeah, me too. I'm getting double the views I was getting last year, but I'm earning half. Which means CPM is a quarter of what it was this time in 2019. It's disheartening, but right now we should write as much as possible and hope to reap the rewards when things return to normal.

Agree on that! Right now I'm supplementing my Hub earnings with paid forums, to make up for my loss.

My traffic is double of last year as well. Maybe it's the pandemic that has resulted in more people gardening, but my CPMs are down 50%. I will be making the same amount as last year through the Ad program. The doubled traffic has also doubled my Amazon earnings (a little more than doubled).

Not the best thing to happen, but I'm glad with the increase in numbers and I've therefore decided to write a few more hubs as time permits. Just published one after nearly a year the other day.

Agreed.  I'm still writing regularly so that when things return to normal or as close to normal as possible, my earnings will increase. In the meantime, I am just happy if my earnings don't decrease.

Yes, I think more people are likely choosing to grow their own produce to save money and become more self sufficient in light of our current circumstances.

What is a paid forum? Sorry if that sounds dumb, just interested.

Hi there! Actually a paid forum sites are forum sites like reddit, only you get paid if you posts threads and comments. The pay is lower than here in Hubpages, but good enough to complement it.

I didn't realize Reddit had a paying version. I will have to check into it. Mind you the virus has killed a lot of income for most paid platforms.

Yeah, this will be the first time in nearly 10 years I won't earn the payout. Bummer.

Damn! Hopefully, all our CPMs recover once things begin getting back to normal.

The CPMs are abysmal. I'm getting more views, though. Is this because of Covid-19? I don't think I've ever seen some so low. Even if I had semi-viral articles like I did years ago, my earnings would be cut in half or less.

Hello! I'm rather new to discussions and delighted to see we can interact with each other. I have more time now to write that is why I am taking advantage of it. Also getting more acquainted with the platform.

Same here, I joined the platform newly, but from my experience so far, it's good.

Both my views and earnings are at rock bottom. First time in years I didn't make a payout last month.

My views have also increased, however my earnings remained the same. Or maybe, I didn't notice any change considering I wasn't earning much daily to begin with, just a few cents that come every other day or so.

    consider your lucky my friend.
at least you had 200 views per day.

i had 200 views per week!
anyway, i cannot blame low traffic views because i was not active during weekdays since i have a full time job.

maybe you could try sharing your hublinks on social media sites
