Is it true that this site has stagnated? I mean, come on, there used to be contests and HubPatron programs and many other lucrative and interesting things going on around here on the Hubs all year round.
What has happened? Have we reached the bottom of the Internet~OCEAN, and there's nothing new to be found and done?
What says you?
I read somewhere that there is a new site out there called Medium. Maybe you should close your account here and start writing on that site. What say you?
We s[end all our time editing our old hubs. No time for that other stuff.
It's a grind. But sometimes you just have to bring home the bacon.
Don't all writers have an OCD chip implanted? I think it's mandatory
A new hub
Is a club
Of old and new bub
Of baobub!
So full the tub,
And hone the rub,
And make a dub,
Of English subs!
HubPages does seem to be winding down. What ever happens, happens.
Yes, it seems that the pace is slow but I do not mind as long as hubpages pays
Yes, it's winding down. Maven has more important projects.
I really hope that hubpages won't wind down anytime soon. Some of us still have a long way to go before we can reach our first payout. It would be sad if the site closed down. God forbid.
Just make sure you have backed up anything you want to keep. I've been poking around here a little after taking a break for years and the engagement is not even close to what it used to be. Protect your work and enjoy the site and community while it lasts.
Take the warnings of very negative people with a grain of salt. You can go on their profile page. If you have noticed that someone has been here 10 years, only has the 10k accolade, and does not even have any articles on niche sites, that person is earning close to nothing and will say all sorts of things about the impending doom.
People have been predicting "the end of HubPages is near!" since I first joined ... in 2011
My favorite over the years has been people who come on the forums and complain "if you people at HP do not fix this I am deleting my hubs and closing my account".
I am sure the staff suffer from PTSD after reading one of those.
Ahhh yes, the elusive "HubPage Karen," best known for complaining to HP management about the "unsavory" related hubs appearing on their articles.
Hi Das, you've got a 7 days old account. Congrats on being here a week without getting banned.
I offer a contest prize of $25. And I am a poor person, stimulus check emboldened me.
The remainder of May. Best article submitted. I get to choose whatever article I want.
Not a joke. I will pay.

So, I've had a hub unpublished due to HP claiming that it's overly promotional. The hub only has 2 outbound links ( which is the number of links we're allowed to put for the other external sites ) this is the only thing that I'm having in my hub. There is also NO amazon products or Ebay or...

There are so many of us who write fiction, and we're stuck with Amazon, itunes, Smashwords, Barnes and Noble, etc, all of which have their own difficulties.I would really like a formula in the hubpages tradition where every author has their own site, plus the ability to upload their books and sell...

I decided not to leave hubpages but since my traffic was split in half several months ago it seems as if my subdomain is struggling to get back up.We all know that Google, the internet master, prefers niches sites over content farms (sites with multiple subjects). Given the newest update and...

Wow! What a horrible question! But as I fight breast cancer, this question keeps haunting me ...Although I have often wondered the answer to this question, it now become more imperative. Altho in the past I have been absent recently, I want to write more on HP. But, as I am fighting for my...

I was delighted to find my whole wheat sourdough biscuit recipe on the first page of a Google search today. Unfortunately, Norton gave it a gray question mark, showing it is unrated and may not be safe. See the screen shot attached. If I found that gray question mark on a search link, I would not...

I don't suppose I'm the only person wondering what happens if the machinations - automated or otherwise - lead to HubPages having a much REDUCED income stream from Amazon.Make no mistake - as Google Adsense income dives (which it has been doing consistently for months) - income from Amazon modules...
