Drop in Hubscore on New Article

    I just wrote a new article about micro loans that was immediately moved to Soapboxie. People started reading it and the hubscore started to rise, but suddenly it dropped down again. I'm wondering if that's because I visit it too often.

    The problem is that I'm doing a lot of promotion and keep coming back to get the URL. I want legislators and CEOs of companies to read it who have declared support for the Black Lives Matter movement. The article shows ways they can help.

    Is there any way of combatting this problem with a declining hub score from too many of my own visits? Or is there another reason the hub score might be declining?

      I don't know if Hub Score drops when you visit the article. New articles' scores tend to fluctuate and it's hard to tell why. I don't think scores rise much until organic traffic starts coming in; of course, the quality of the article affects the score too.

      The score is not going to have as much effect as much as traffic. Without enough traffic, articles become unfeatured and are no longer visible to Google.

      Freqently visiting your article will not in anyway lower that article score. It happens to every writter.                            The math principle used by hubpage is not understood well.

    Your visits will not lower the score.

    Ignore the score for all purposes, no one else sees it, and to be honest it is a useless metric.
