It's been 40 hours, and my visitor stats is still not updated. Maybe something is broken or so.
AND... I see below in a "related discussion" from 5 years ago it has happened before.
I was in IT for 42 years. We can know if this is a physical issue and they have to order hardware, or if it's a technical issue, but now that Mamerto and I have had the same experience "they" must be aware.
It'll all come out in the wash. :-)
I noticed this as well. And has no one from Hubpages has informed us of a glitch?
We are looking into it and thanks for reporting! Shouldn't be long.
Why didn't hubpages in the first instance, or took the initiative to inform us of the glitch?
Oh, there's no telling. At campus, we always experienced slowdowns at registration, semester ends, et al. So, we expected them and things would soon return to normal.
By the time staff may recognize it's beyond normal, the time for a "timely notification" has passed and you're just looking for the issue.
The hamster in the wheel that powers the stats counter died. Once they replace him we'll be good to go.
hmmmmm... the hamster AND the wheel could be out. Must need to replace hardware and firmware at this point...
Agreed...but must include (spareware-my connotation). You do know for sure if your machine, especially, a car tyre breaks down, the available of a spare tyre, makes the car laught at the roads again! Seriously, just looking at the issue with no spare part is a hoax!
I think the reserve hamster went into early hibernation. They will have to make a trip to the pet store now, could take some time.
Yes I have the same problem. I'm glad to hear the staff are looking into it.
It's been a regular occurrence over the years. The stats say: "updated so many hours ago", then the metric switches to "so many days ago" - it's when it switches to weeks that you start to wonder what's happening. It's irritating for people like me who are addicted to checking their views all the time, but of no real consequence, in my experience.
There seems to be some software problem at HubPages, because even my visitor stats are not updated for more than 48 hours. When is HubPages going to solve this problem?
They are aware. (Staff posted earlier in this thread).
The best inquiring minds can figure out is that the wheel needs to be replaced and a trip to the pet store is in order. Hardware and firmware. Really, software I suppose - fuzzy and all.
The stat delay has gone down from "2 days" to "23 hours" as of this morning. So I guess some progress has been made.
Thanks guys! So far more progress were made and the update is down to 18 hours.
I never even look at when it's updated, but I did now and it says 16 hours.
Have a nice weekend, staff too.

Who broke hubpages?
by Dr. John Anderson 6 years ago
The stats have frozen again, and have not been updated for 12 hours (heading for the weekend). Earlier in the week they were stuck for 3 days. That means that the stats are only OK, twice a week - very disappointing! It has been getting worse lately. Please fix this HP staff. Thanks.

When Panda hit I was a newbie so was not affected directly. Buy When the Penguin swooped down on us I was badly affected. I though those hubs that were doing great would never fully recover. The hubs I saw taking off and earning me money were new hubs. My best performers pre-penguin were...

To those with decreased hubscores as a result of the new hubscore updates, has this eventmotivated or demotivated you from writing hubs? Has the new hubscore updates making you reconsider staying at HubPages or simply giving up and moving on?

Is it true that in order for a outside visitor to hubpages must register before being able to...comment? Is that pretty common in some other sites?
