Line Spacing Excessive on New Look Sites

I'm sure the team are overworked with bugs but unfortunately here's another to report. A newline previously created a line spacing about the same height as capital letters in the font, however the new line spacing seems to be approximately double the height of a capital letter. Maybe this is intentional but it seems rather excessive. Could it be that an extra CRLF pair is being included in the code? I've attached before and after example images. I notice too that superscripts are not rendered which is a major problem for me with students reading tutorials. (hopefully they won't be too confused!) I think Glenn reported this.

That's a good point. I have a similar issue with bold and light on my poetry analyses articles specifically for metre in lines.

The Maven version shows the lines as all bold, which negates the metrical analysis. Words in bold are the stressed beats so the difference absolutely needs to be shown for the analysis to be valid.

I notice you have those vertical lines also for block quotes. I use block quotes as a method of indentation, but on the old look sites, it just indented without any lines.

This migration is welcome on the whole but the loose ends need tidying up and fast - many of my student readers will be returning to schools and colleges and uni and I don't want to lose them!

Yes, I think the superscript problem was reported. I hope it's fixed before Owlcation is moved to the new interface. If superscipts and subscripts aren't used in chemical symbols and formulas, it looks like the writer doesn't know what they're talking about.

Owlcation appears to have been moved, but maybe it's not live yet and we're just seeing a preview?

Thanks for sharing the information. I didn't know that the site had already been moved.

You can see which articles they moved at your articles page. They have links to both the new setup and HubPages. The spatial is a problem. I wish they'd fix it.

Yes, I did report that the superscripts are not rendered. They are aware of it.

I also see that Owlcation was just migrated. But the table bug is still not fixed.  I was hoping they would hold off migrating a huge niche as Owlcation until that is fixed.

A workaround for squares and cubes superscripts is to use the characters ² and ³ from the character map or type ALT + 0178 for squared and ALT + 0179 for cubed (with num lock on)
