I suggest that advertisements be placed between individual capsules

I've been looking over some of my articles on Turbofuture and noticed that a lot of adverts are placed in the middle of the text.  One list of specifications was broken twice by ads.

This looks very unprofessional and will certainly confuse the reader.

I suggest that advertisements be limited to between the capsules and the beginning and end of the article.

I welcome any comments on this suggestion.

You're right. The team knows about this issue but as Brandon says change might have to wait.

I've been updating many of my articles in an attempt to minimise disruption caused by these pesky ads. Some new readers will be put off no doubt - I'm hoping loyal followers will put up with them?

Everyone agrees with this suggestion and it was made a couple of times over the past few weeks. Unfortunately, this does not seem like something the team would be changing, at least not in the near future. The ads are horribly placed.

It would depend on hubs being written in a sufficient number of capsules, and many of them aren't.

This is how it was all these years. Hubs not written in a sufficient number of capsules are typically not long enough to hold 4 ads within their main content either.

Curious what would be considered a sufficient number of capsules for articles in the 1500 word count range? I feel like I have a sufficient number, but I'm still seeing ads inbetween content. I don't know that breaking up my capsules even more would help with the erratic placement.

This is not what I was saying. I was writing in response to psycheskinner, stating that in the old system ads were only placed between capsules. Now they are erratic on all hubs, no matter the length or the number of capsules.

I misunderstood sorry. Yes that has been my experience too. I wish they would fix that.

The only articles that I have found that look "good' are the ones with multiple thumbnail photos, because almost all the ads are placed between the photo and caption. Doesn't look the best, but I feel those are less intrusive than the ones that intrupt lists or are inserted in the middle of a thought.

Can we block these by using shift-enter instead of enter to create a new line and apparent new paragraph (even though it isn't)?
