I'm not necessarily in the 30 in 30 this month, but I'm desperately trying to empty my que. I now have 52 unfinished hubs, and I've completed 8 so far this month. We'll see if I can get at least half of those 52 gone by the last day in February.
Which, means I'll end up publishing at least 30 hubs... So in a way I am doing the challenge...
I follow you and have been amazed at how much you hub!
You must live in that chair. Who feeds the pooch? LOL!!!!
I have a job in which I can hub, work on school, and take care of regular job duties in an 8.5 hour day.
I do the same. I've added about 8 hubs this week so far, plus like 2 that weren't in my que that I published.
For me, it's hard to finish a long unpublished list, when you add to it weekly and when some of what you published isn't off the list.
I tend to publish everything the same day. Your hubs show careful work and you go back over them, which is the improved way to do it. I love your hubs, you MUST be doing a lot of things right. Good for you!
I have just 10 unpublished hubs and I'm just so darn lazy to actually finish them off.. but good luck to you and hopefully I'll get motivated to publish mine
Oh dear, I've got 69 unpublished hubpages...it's increased by 8 or so, I've tried battling to get them published, but I seem to add a few more each week and just don't finish them...good luck Whit!
Why, waynet? Do you lose interest before you can finish it up? Or are you a perfectionist and always think it can be improved? I just go with what I've got. It works for me. Also, don't want to spend the time to fuss toooooo muuuucccchhh, it's ok, they're still readable.
The ones that I need to publish are mainly drawing tutorials and I've done the writing but just need to do the drawings but can't focus when the computers on everyday, there was a time when I used to draw every waking moment, but now I'm a hubpage addict and things don't function too well until I've checked on my hubs!
I have a lot of unpublished hubs, also, but I crank 'em out fairly slowly and I do try to make them grammatically correct. The editing part is my least favorite. I also try to balance out the topics, and not post ten in a row on drawing, followed by ten in a row on basketball.
I need to get a move on, also.
I have about 8 hubs presently unpublished. I have published 3 hubs in the past week or so. Plus, I just updated my opinion poll with 20 new questions.
I have 3 hubs that are connected together based on topic, two for my Valentine's Day hub due out, and a few miscellaneous.
Not much otherwise.
Have only got 4 at the moment unpublished as I need to make them better, good luck with yours Whitney!
Knocked out 2 yesterday, but added 2 to the list today... :-/
Whitney, I strive to be as dedicated as you are! I have some good runs (like last month) and slack periods (probably this month!) - I can't hub at work though
marco, i have streaks and slow points as well.. Sometimes, I just have to push through the slow points.
I don't know if I'm going to be able to finish half my list... I keep adding to it... :-(
I knocked out 7 hubs today, 2 of which weren't on the list. But at least my list is below 50 now.
50 unfinished hubs?!?!
I've never had more than 2!
but I don't do the bulk of my writing on hubpages...i do it in word and then port it over when I like the way it's written, so from that view I probably have something like 25...
Keep going Whitney you're almost there. woohoo! you go girl!
Okay! my inspiration is back on 'green light'. joining the February hubchallenge now. The last time was the November HC and i just hit a block after that. Well i was working on backlinking which is such a chore!
Great job, Whitney you've always produced quality work so I have no doubts there will be more.
So I've been working on my unpublished list. The last time that I posted, I had just less than 50 unpublished hubs that I needed to complete and publish... I currently have my list down to 16, and by the end of the night, I plan to have it around 15.
I'm so excited. I really hope to complete the list by next week before classes start back on the 9th.
I, in no way completed my initial goal, but I continued to publish new stuff anyway, even though I didn't really work on my list. It's taken much longer than anticipated, but I thought I'd do an update.
New goal, truly complete the unpublished list, and then conquer my notebook of over 100 ideas.
I got really ruthless with my list a few months back, and ended up banning myself from starting new hubs until I had either published or deleted every single one. I think I had 69 unpublished at one point.
I did that, publishing around half and deleting the other half. Now my list has got very close to 50 again, so I may need to become ruthless again!
I actually find that I publish more prolifically with fewer unpublished hubs, probably because I feel much less daunted by the prospect of taking one on. Or perhaps because it is too easy to be distracted by other hub projects...
I had tons unpublished at one point. I agree that the more I have unpublished the longer it takes me to get to them. Then when I'm finally working on them, I'm tired of seeing the titles, so I just don't want to write about them. I will admit to having deleted one today that I know I won't write about. I finished two others though.
I really want to finish these so that I can get started on my notebook.
My problem is that I continually add to my lists. That's how things get out of hand. I'm adding to and writing about things that aren't on my lists on paper or unpublished.
I figure it's better to write down the topics than setting up the unpublished. We'll see how that goes because, I have over 100 of those to do. I think I'm going to work on the product hubs in my notebook first, as those generally don't take as long to write.
Here's a nice accomplishment...
9 hubs in one week!
I was trying for 10 or more, with a main goal of the rest of my unpublished list (which is now 5), but I'm happy with 9. I can get started on one, upload the pictures this weekend, and finish it Monday, as I don't really like to write on the weekend, but 9 of 10 is a good number for me.
I'm spending the rest of my day at work, surfing the web. I won't be able to finish a hub in 30 minutes, and I don't like to start, if I can't finish because I get on a role and it's hard to get back in that mindset.

When a new contest comes up, I create a bunch of potential hubs, so I still have a few undeveloped cooking hubs. I also have a few hubs ideas from last week's contest and then several for this weeks contest. As I browse the Internet I come up with some really good ideas for hubs and create the...

(Maybe the answers to my questions is somewhere on HP; but even if any answers are out there on the site; so many changes have been made in seven-and-a-half years, I wanted to get the absolute latest with regard the questions below):1. If one unpublishes a Hub and just...

How many hubs do you have tucked away unpublished?I tend to work on several hubs at once and go back and fix and redo and edit them over several days, maybe even weeks before I publish. Other times I just blast through a hub and post it. What do you do? What is your workflow like?
