All of my articles but a few, are on Discover, some are on niche sites... I am working to upgrade them all. This one, however, did not even get accepted for Discover. Please tell me why, in your opinion, it may have missed the mark.

By the way, my usage of grammar in that article was lax, and that I am aware of, as today for example I'd not begin a sentence with But. It's not grammar or punctuation I am asking about, please and thank you.
Does it get any views? Some of my articles haven't been moved and I think the main reason is probably that no one ever looks at them - whereas the ones that were moved are slightly more popular.
Hi Gwenny,
Interesting article - I like your take on the topic.
You need to use the subheading boxes in the text capsules. By not doing so, you are missing valuable opportunities to attract search engine traffic.
Also, it's a good idea to link to the source of your images. You can link to at least two Pixabay sources without penalty and it is nice to give the photographer/image owner a link back. I always include their username in the credit as requested by the site. It also makes it easier for editors to check the image license. A good alternative to Pixabay is Unsplash.
I would also break up the large paragraphs into smaller ones wherever possible. Remember that people are accessing more content on their phones, and a big block of text is hard to read.
The title could do with an overhaul. I've been working on my titles lately and trying to make them more search engine friendly. So remove the inverted commas from 'evil'. Then think about what would make you click on the title. Maybe "Black Magick: It's Not as Evil as You Thought" or "Black Magick: Why You Should Consider Incorporating it into Your Life" or "7 Reasons Why Black Magick is not Bad Magick". You may need to edit to make the article fit the title.
Good luck.
You say you don't want advice on grammar or punctuation, but those things will definitely hold you back. The main thing that jumps out at me is your spelling of the word magic with a k on the end. HP does not like non-standard spelling and may consider this to be a mistake. I realize that you probably did this on purpose, but perhaps you should explain what makes magick different from magic.
It's accepted spelling, Sherry. I use it all the time

Thanks Sherry; I see how it could be seen this way, given that spell checkers, dictionaries and so on, haven't caught up with the fact that from what I see, nearly 50% of magicians use it.
I did write up why I use it, but farther into the article.
My comment is from the perspective of someone who knows nothing about your topic.
I found the written content interesting, but was left wondering about the meaning of the images. A short comment under each one would guide me. eg. Is the star behind the girl a pentacle? Do the skulls or the hat in the 2nd picture have a special meaning in magick? Is the hooded man's gesture significant? In the final image, what is the triangular symbol, and the runic characters behind it? I genuinely don't know the answers to these questions, and I think adding a short sentence below each picture would add greatly to the article.
Good luck. I think with a bit of tweaking this will be moved to a niche site.

Does bad grammar and spelling bother you?I don't expect everyone to be an English professor, but for goodness sake people, use some punctuation and a built in spell-check! This is primarily aimed at forums, hubs, and places like YouTube comments. Places where people could take the time to read over...

I think HubPages is just a terrific opportunity for writers to write and make connections within the HubPages community. However, I am concerned about the quality of some of the hubs I see. Even if the writing is fresh and lively, if the spelling, punctuation, or grammar are poor, then...

A few years ago, I decided to self publish on my site. To help with this, I found a program called Grammarly to help with my terrible typing, and well, I needed help. The program links into this site and others such as Twitter. This is by no means an advertisement for the program. There are a lot...
