What is it that keeps you connected to the HubPages or why are you on this site?
For me, it is the decent authors to whom I can communicate and this make me happy and satisfied. And there is no vulgar or unwanted stuff that I have to deal with. Like on YouTube, anyone can do comment of any type. That is awful.
What do you think about it?
Moondot, I originally started here 12 years ago as somewhere to publish my writing online, but I soon found there was a wonderful community here that had common interests (writing) and that I could communicate with. They have since become friends and I like this better than social media sites like Facebook, Twitter, Youtube etc.
Yes, Jodah, you are absolutely right. I have never used Facebook and consider it a waste of time. But it (Facebook) may be a good choice for others.
I think so too, it is a decent site to whom I can communicate with authors who make me happy and satisfied, and new knowledge is obtained.
Hmm...Urwa, you are right. I have improved my vocabulary here. And Hubpages also helped me in my CSS ( Central Superior Services) exams.
It's a cool place that allows me to post gibberish about heavy metal music and bad movies in exchange for beer and pizza money. What's not to like?.
Hahaha...good to hear from you, FatFreddysCat. I am dreaming of money from now on. LOL.
It may sound kind of basic, but I really like the tools: You can write an article and easily add images and the article is more or less formatted and coded for you, and the tool is user-friendly. Other tools, on other sites, seem clunky to me in comparison.
I like the other things too, the community, the pay, etc.
I agree with you, NateB11. Tools are really easy to use even for beginners.
This is the only online platform that has the potential to give its users the chance to win the Nobel Prize in Literature digitally.
Tanmoy, are you kidding? Or it is true... Sorry, but I have no idea.
HubPages has the potential for that. "Potential" is different from "realized action". We hubbers can potentially win the Nobel Prize in Literature via HubPages. But the Nobel Prize Committee and HubPages need to collaborate for that to happen.
I wish they would get in touch for this reason.
Oh, for that, I have to live a long life. LOL.
I enjoy the connection we have together as writers.
We can honestly critique others work, which I must say helps me quite a bit.
I look forward to writing and sharing my work here on Hubpages.
I've met alot of interesting friends and hope to meet more.
It would be great if Hubpages would acknowledge it's writer's in some form of prizes or notability.
Brenda, you look like a very good person and I like talking to you. And I think people who write poetry are very deep. They are more sensitive than ordinary people.
Yes Brenda, I agree with you. Some form of acknowledgement will motivate hubbers. It's wonderful being on this platform. We get to read quality work and also connect with each other. We have made such good friends. We also learn a lot through to these interactions.

I see lots of posts on this forum saying "if only HubPages did this that or the other - I'd get my traffic back".The fact is that sites have to adjust to the way the Internet keeps changing. There is no going back to the way things were, there is only moving forward - with new platforms,...

From our blog, we will earn 100% from our ads whereas in HubPages, we have to share 40% of it with HubPages, but still people are coming and writing on HubPages. Why? What are the advantages or benefits?

I think HubPages is not merely just a site that provides search results for Google users. I think this site is more than that. HubPages is not Wizzley for God's sake. This website is also a hobby for some. I can't imagine spending more than half an hour on Wizzley or Infobarrel (Inforbarrel is a...

I joined Hubpages a few weeks back and I find it useful to share information with users from all over the world. But I do not understand why a user cannot promote his or her hub? What is the issue if I am bringing traffic to my hub from third party sources? You cannot write about this topic, you...

I have some well established hubs in the hubpages which are put in "Needs revision" group. Hubpages authorities are asking for revision and I have found no valid reason for the same. These are old hubs and attracting good number of readers. Moreover, these hubs have good hubscore...

While entering "pant..." I got an interesting hub title suggestion:"Smart Ass Thong Panties for Moms Product Review"Sure is an interesting topic! I suppose it would be fun to write about, but it would probably get flagged.Has anyone else experimented with the topic/title...
