Please clarify for me - my URL is the code that links to my blog? The URL Tracker is another code that tracks the activity.
So my URL Tracker could be for multiple purposes?
IF I understand this correctly then for signups to Hub Pages - I would need to include "tour" to link them directly to the Hub Pages sign up page?
Sorry I am not a programmer and I have been fighting with this for close to 1 week. Please help!
Hi, I think the best way for me to explain is to show you:
This is my profile url >>
This is my profile url including tracker >>
If I was putting a link in from my hubpage to a blog it would look like this www.ablog.com (unless I was creating an anchor text link but I won't explain that as well right now.)
I'm assuming you've already created your tracker code - if not follow the instructions here: http://hubpages.com/tour/affiliate/
Once you have set up a tracker code you can use the tab at the bottom of any page which says "link to this page", so to link to the sign up page go to http://hubpages.com/tour/hubpages/go
then click on the "link to this page" tab.
A new window will pop up giving you the page url which includes your tracker. Copy and paste this at your blog or website. Now when someone clicks on your link at your blog/site and signs up to HP you will be credited with the referral.
I hope that makes sense
