   Are down, but no news is coming out about it.
   My question is, are you having trouble in America etc too? Mainly facebook for me, but also Instagram.

      yes. It's worldwide. Facebook whistleblower told a lot of info. She was an employee there. Very high ranked.  Facebook, Instagram, and what's up shut down

   Yup, FB has been down since shortly before noon here (East Coast U.S.).
   
   Conspiracy theorists are having a field day about a possible connection to last night's "60 Minutes" interview with a former FB employee turned "whistleblower."
   
   I have not yet seen said interview, but apparently this person revealed that Facebook is a shady, Evil Empire that puts its own corporate needs ahead of human lives... which I thought was pretty much public knowledge already.

      Yeah, pretty much same over here. I reckon it is to do with that. Something along the lines of 'make sure all security is up to date, otherwise stay off' lol!

   It's all over the news now.  The commentator I saw said it's probably a garden variety screw-up rather than some kind of deliberate attack.
