One of my articles got a lot of hits overnight. The 1-day stats totaled 2351, which is far more than it normally gets in an average day. (It also helped pull in $18 in ad revenue yesterday).
I can only assume it got mentioned by an online blog or linked by someone with a big following. Are there any good ways of finding out what the source might be? I mean, it doesn't really matter, but I am just curious as to where the traffic came from. The HubPages Traffic Sources are not showing the same increase in views so I am not sure that is much help.
Visit your article in Author View from your Stats page. Click on the Stats button in the Author Center. Then click the Referrer tab. The chart will display the traffic source. If the traffic source is not available yet, it should appear within 24 hours. Sometimes there is a delay in traffic reporting.
Thanks. Nothing much to report yet for stats, but I will check tomorrow.
Wowww... Whatever caused that bounce, believe me its great. $18 in a single day is huge. Btw congrats Jonathan, I am impressed. :-D
Hahaha. Thanks! You can see now why I am curious

Hope this is the right forum. When I go to stats on one of my Hubs, it shows number of views but doesn't show traffic source. I'm using Windows 8 and the Firefox browser. Here's a screenshot.

I’d like to start by explaining that my articles are all published to niche sites except one which is still pending consideration. I’ve edited and revamped these articles to death. I’ve waited for these changes to kick in despite that, less than 30 views per day on some that seem to perform on a...

I was checking stats on specific hubs to see where traffic is coming from, and it's strange. Is there a change? It's only showing Hubpages views and Google.com... what happened? Will our original stats return? I hope so.And it's not showing Keyword search terms.Excuse this thread if there is...

Where does my traffic come from?I joined Hubpages about a week ago and have had 69 views. However, my traffic source tells me that only 47 come from Hubpages and does not give any source for the others. Are they from search engines? I'm not sure as I would expect it to list Google or...

We had this same problem a couple of weeks ago and it was resolved. Same problem again today though, so I'm reporting it. (If we don't report problems, how can we expect them to be fixed?)1 day stats are abnormally low, so I checked the stats on an individual hub. The 'day' stat there is...
