Does commenting increase or reduce hub score? Let's discuss the issue. I think it might help some writers here.
Miebakagh, I don't think comment helps to improve the hub scores. I think commenting allows you to participate in a conversation with other people who share similar interests. Comments, in my opinion, serve as a type of a social proof. It contributes to the formation of a community. Comments can also assist you in determining what topics your readers want you to write about. It's vital to write something, but it's also crucial to see what other people think about what you've written.
Writing a hub without any comments is like throwing a needle into the ocean. Nobody knows where it is, and even you can't discover where it's laying. A hub without a comment is equivalent to speaking to a deaf and dumb or, as I like to put it, banging your head against a wall and seeing that no one actually cares. Ha!
I hope this answers your question
Have a great day!
Best wishes and Blessings!!
Thank you for your answer was looking the anwer of such. Had same quiz on mind too
Hi there, welcome to HubPages, and congrats on your first article.
You can access the Learning Center by clicking Help, top right. And we don't write 'blogs' here. They are articles
Mizbah, I agree with all that you said.
But commenting seems to have a hand in improving or decreasing a hub score.
For nealy a year, I've not write an article. My score was 32. But commenting before the comment sweet was taken away it soars. I think that helps explain it. This week my first article, a poem was published. it's a first this year.
Kudos to you, Miebakagh on publishing a new poem. Not sure if you are telling me '32' as your hubscores or hubber scores.
My hubber score was around 42 about 8 months ago. It is currently fluctuating between 85 and 88. I believe that writing quality hubs and getting good traffic to your articles can help you improve both your hub and hubber scores.
Try to work on the previously published hubs as well. Revise them. Try to eliminate grammatical errors and try sending them to niche sites. I am sure it will help you a lot. It helped me as well.
I believe responding to forums sometimes also helps you to gain some scores.
Blessings always!!
Mizbah, I mean profile score. While I was here before you, mine was above 86. I know it fluctuates. a little left or right.
I can recalled when Bev dive you the advice to review your hubs, and it began to rise.
The thing is that I was not online for years. And when I log in, my profile began to decline rapidly.
But while i begin writing articles, It could not help matter much.
Two years ago, I had my laptop stolen. And as I could not write with my little handset, I can only comment. Surprised, it began to rise, while you're editing your articles per Bev's suggestions.
Now, it's up between 61 and 62 with out my writing a single article for a year. What else can account for the increase in my profile score?
Salam, Mizbah.
Wasalam Miebakagh,
I'm sorry to hear your laptop was stolen.
I know having low scores is a frustrating situation. I have experienced it.
This article by HubPages is very interesting and informative although I feel it is a little outdated, it tells that good traffic to your articles helps to increase the scores. I keep updating my articles every other month. It helps to generate some good traffic as well.

This is what the article says about Hubber scores
Your article needs to have some search traffic to stay Featured. The amount of traffic it needs and the length of time it has to accrue that traffic will be determined by your Hubber Score.
Articles written by authors with very high Hubber Scores will have up to a few years to gain traffic. Those with lower Hubber Scores may have as little as one month (we're talking very low Hubber Scores in that scenario).
New writers are given a generous grace period, even if they have relatively low Hubber Scores, since it can take time to get used to HubPages and get more articles published.
Please note that QAP evaluation is an ongoing process. HubPages engineers are constantly working to improve and refine the system to more accurately determine quality. This means any article may be reevaluated at any time. The best way to ensure that all your articles remain Featured is to edit, proofread, and update frequently.
Great to see a new poem from you, Meibakagh. Flame Effect Electric Fire is interesting and has an important message for many of us. Nice job. That should help to raise your score after a few days.
Thanks John, for the comment. I've made a little edit hours ago. The score's rising.
Mizbah, though my laptop was stolen, I got another just two weeks ago. It's a long but good waiting period.
I will soon began to update all my articles and every two weeks submitting same to niche sites.
I'm at the moment writing another health article. I'll finish next week.

Since HP decided to kick our articles back to Discover, for some inexplicable reason, my Hubber score has plummeted. It is still kind of hanging in there on this account because I still have articles on niche sites, but on my other accounts it has dropped into the 60s. Prior to the move, it was in...

I am looking for 5 things that will increase my hubber score.Assume there are enough articles to manipulate and about 200 featured but a ton "less than". The hubber does not network and just wants to raise the score. There is no angst or financial issue, just raise that score.Should...

I took a hiatus for awhile from Hub Pages! However, in the past week or so, I have added new hubs participated in forums, asked a question or two, participated with the Hub Hopper, have read some Hubs, yet my Hubber Score is lower than it was when I was doing nothing. I don't get it!

I was sitting pretty at a 95 for a while. I really liked that number. Suddenly it jumped to 97.Call me crazy but I like that it went higher - kind of - sort of - but you see... Now I want to KEEP it.I'm kind of possessive that way. I see a bunch of people with 100 hubber...

A month ago I announced some updates to HubScore: raw traffic is deemphasized, reader satisfaction is emphasized, and overall, the scores are a more accurate reflection of the quality of Hubs than they used to be. Today, I'd like to talk about the subsequent update to Hubber Score — the score...
