Saving edits of article in stages as you work on it

    Whether I'm creating a new article or editing a pre-existing one, I typically need to save my new or edited text as I proceed through the article. Trying to save with the usual key combination (Ctrl-S in Windows) doesn't seem to work and can cause problems. So I've been resorting to periodically selecting "Done Editing", then immediately pressing "Edit" and returning to Edit mode of the article. Is there a better way to do this?

      I think so. Write your articles offline in some kind of text editor. I use Scrivener but lots of people use Word or Open Office. Always keep a backup of your work.

      Once done, you can simply copy and paste into the Hubtool.

      The HubTool and Text Capsule have an autosave feature that will save your work every 2 minutes as long as you have a connection to the HubPages servers. It allows you to recover edits that may otherwise be lost. You may need to refresh for your saved draft to show up.
