I was editing a story I wrote a while back which was never published. After adding some text, I finished editing it for the time being and saved the changes.
Now I cannot find it on my article page listing. Anyone who can help?
If you are lucky, I remember a little green icon at bottom of text capsule. Click it , it may have a saved draft there. As I recollect, they don't save it for very long.
There's no text capsule as the entire article is gone from my articles page. I've been working on this historical fiction tale for several years now. There's no way I can recreate it at this point. Most of my research has been lost due to an old computer self-destructing.
Contact team@hubpages.com they might be able to help you.
I always write my articles in Word and then save the document to my cloud account so that I don't lose my drafts and finished articles. I know that won't help you with this article but going forward you might want to consider it.
I have part of my draft saved to Word. Unfortunately, the other research and drafts were on a computer I could not transfer the files from. My son the IT tried, but they came out as gibberish. They were saved on Word as well.
Never mind, for some strange reason it moved up among the published articles instead of being at the very bottom. DOH!
If it shows views, it will be definitely at the top end of the published article list. It's not accidental. Articles that are viewed on a particular day get listed at the top of statistics.
It's not published. Simply a draft which usually resides at the bottom of the list as they always have.
Yes, this is what I was telling. Not only the published ones but the unpublished drafts also occupy a place in the top or middle of the lists as per the views counted. It can be your own views. As many times as you reload the page and try editing it. Each time it is counted as a view received. Even though it is very funny and awkward!!!
Just use Ctrl F to find a word of any title.
Hey, good. I've had that to happen a couple of times, so I hope you'll consider yourself in good company.
In future if you go to your accounts page and click on “published” under which are the dates all hubs were published..any yet unpublished ones that are still in draft mode will appear at the top.
Thanks John. it's been so long since I've published anything new here I've forgotten my way around.
Glad you found it! I once hit delete instead of finish editing , and trashed the entire article. Fortunately there is a way to recover it within 24 hours, but I can't remember how that works.
Me too! The research would be difficult to do again at this point.
When you look at your list of articles on the account page, at the top of the list is a box marked "filter" where you can click to see unpublished articles. I just lost one of mine in draft, and noticed that handy filter. I too was used to seeing unpublished articles at the bottom.

Why are incomplete articles saved as drafts receiving page views? I would prefer to keep them private until I have finished writing them.

One or two of my hubs have fallen victim to the "does not meet quality standards" empty bubble. In one case, I imagine it is because the hub falls under the "purely personal" category, better suited to a blog. That's fine. I can move it. (It's an older hub...

Hello Beautiful souls,I currently have 161 featured articles on HP. The majority of them are already on Network sites. A few of them have been in the editors' queue for about 9/10 months. Actually, there were more than 161 articles. Over the course of two months, I deleted nearly ten of my...

I have 37 articles on PetHpful that are undergoing editing....AGAIN. This happens a lot. I'm expected to go into each article, read it, fix the mistakes the editors put into my articles, and repost the articles. I have other writing projects (book, book trailer) pending for my agent, and I don't...

The article in question was "Good Title and Caption Ideas for Content Creators". Here is the link to the unpublished page at least showing the url (https://discover.hubpages.com/technology/Caption-Ideas). I published this article on 2-21-22. There is usually a 1 day wait time for...
