I have had a spike in views over the last seven days on one of my articles and it says views or referrals are from: newsbreakapp.com.
It happened at the same time I received notification that my article had been edited and selected for moving to PetHelpful.
Would this be related to the news articles that are now appearing on that niche site and others?
Congratulations to you mister Jonah. It shows that you mastered. I am so happy for you. You are an excellent writer.
Congrats, John! It seems, from other forums I've read, that the news articles are actually having a positive effect, contrary to what we originally thought might happen.

I can't answer your question, but it is good news!!! Congrats!
I got another boost today that seems to come from Delishably through MSN. Long may this continue.
Congrats John.A similar thing happened to me when one of my articles moved to wanderwisdom. Not sure if why but feels good.
About a week ago one of the news items in Delishably was on "the best grilled cheese in the world" (or something like that). Since then, my two articles on the subject of grilled cheese have gone through the roof with thousands of views per day.
I don't think it's due to news articles appearing on some niche sites. My reasoning emanates from one of my articles, published on Aug/Sept 2020 receiving a spike in views from newsbreakapp. The increase in view happened a day after it was published. This happens for two consecutive days.
The article wasn't even moved to a niche site. It's 'sitting' on Hubpages. Back then it wasn't even appearing on Discover.
Two days after the increase in views, it started receiving fewer than 10 views a day to one view in a week to nothing in a week.
I think the news app fetches newsworthy articles and refers the articles to its viewers.
I think you are correct as I have seen newsbreak surges without article links. News articles seem to causes increased traffic through MSN and ampproject.
Thank you everyone for you comments on this. It seems like a one off. The article is still getting views but it is down to 10 in the last 24 hours. However, it was published in 2014 and has received a quarter if it’s total views in eight years in the last seven days, so I hope it happens again with other older articles.
For some reason, my views are dropping really quickly. I wondered if HubPages were doing something.

My views, impressions and CPM took a nose dive today. My stats were doing well, slowly increasing, with some articles trending. However, my stats across the board dived after the latest TAG/HP announcement of moving the rest of the network sites to TAG. I am so bummed. Is anyone else experiencing...

I’d like to start by explaining that my articles are all published to niche sites except one which is still pending consideration. I’ve edited and revamped these articles to death. I’ve waited for these changes to kick in despite that, less than 30 views per day on some that seem to perform on a...

Something strange is going on. I have a hub that's been doing really well for years. It was hub-pro edited a couple of months ago and traffic increased by a couple hundred a day. Over the last week or so it's hovered around 750 per day. Overall it has almost half a million views.Today, views are...

I've been here for almost two years now and have published 25 featured hubs. I calculated my average views per hub per day as 4. It is actually a bit better than that because the numbers involved the beginning period when I had only a couple of hubs and no views at all. But you Hubbers out there...

A little while ago I had a spike of traffic that came from Google Organic searches. Every single one of my hubs had a spike that day, then slowly my views plummeted. Each day there were fewer and fewer views from organic search. I still have a little bit of organic traffic, but it is back to...

I know views have been dismal after the mass move to Discover; however, my top articles were still seeing enough views to stick around, and I was averaging over 150 views total per day even after the move. It has been almost two weeks with views closer to zero than fifty. My top articles are not...
