Hello Beautiful Souls
I have an idea as many of us are also connected on Medium. Why not start a Hubbers publication on Medium? All of us who will contribute to the publication will also be the editors, so it will be like self-publishing without the need to wait for someone to approve our work.
Benefits:
1) We are all supportive and can read each other's work, so more reads mean more money, and most importantly, honest reads.....
2) It'll be similar to self-publishing, but we'll be a group of authors and editors at the same time.
3) The publication will have a significant number of followers from the beginning. It will increase traffic
4) Once the pub is up and running, we can add some random writers. People will come in to contribute their work, but they will only be ‘writers’ for our publication, not editors.
5) Range of Topics — Tasteful content.
6) Supporting each other's writing would be both enjoyable and profitable.
Now comes the biggest question: who will own Publication. I already own a publication in which I am the sole author and editor. We need someone who is actually reliable to make this publication a success. I'd love to do it, but I'm currently going through some major life changes and have no idea when things can change for me. It would be OK if it were just about me, but I don't want to affect everyone around me because of any changes occurring in my life. I can contribute my work to the pub, can support, but I am not ready to own the pub. Those of you who are consistent and know you will continue to write online - can own the publication and add everyone of us as writers and editors. Your thoughts?
Thank you so much!
I think this is a good idea, Misbah. I am struggling timwise right now, but I want to be part of this. It looks like several are interested, so that's good.
Misbah, I think this is a great idea. I'd love to be a writer, though I am not that active with Medium yet.
I like both avatars and I have no problem with the word safe one way or the other. What are the responsibilities of owning the publication? I might consider it if you can't do it Misbah. I know John said he would be an editor. Each person that is` interested is already a good author. Brenda would get the hang of it too. I could provide her with a short doc of tips to get started.
Great Idea, Kenna. We’d love to have you on board
Best wishes and Blessings!
It sounds like a great idea, Misbah. I’d like to be part of it, but I am not writing there at Medium consistently enough yet, and still not very knowledgable at how it all works.
Maybe Linda or Pamela or someone else more experienced there, and devoting more time, would be better owning the publication.
Thank you very much for your kind response, John. I feel that managing a publication is not hard, but it does require time. Even if I take the responsibility of owning it, I'm not sure if I'll be able to manage it in the future. We need someone who can devote enough time to getting the publication up and running.
Blessings to you!
Hello, Sir. Thank you for your kind response. I believe that only paid members can own the publication and be editors according to the rules of Medium, but you can still earn if you are connected to the Medium Partner Program.
Blessings to you!
Misbah, I agree that this is a wonderful idea, but I find that I am struggling to merely keep up with the reading on Medium.
Misbah l think I can take the step by creating a medium publication
Wow…Thank you very much, Goodluck Justice. Go ahead..., and best wishes! Please let us know when you are ready!
PS: Can you please share the link to your medium profile?
Much Love and Blessings!
OK the publication will be ready next week. For now here is the link to my medium account https://medium.com/@goodluckjustice697_11325
Pls I hope you're all going to comply when the publication is out.
Thank you for sharing, Goodluck Justice. I am glad you said that. According to what I suggested and want it to be: all of us who will contribute to the publication would also be the editors, so it will be like self-publishing without needing to wait for someone to approve our work.
It'll be similar to self-publishing, but we'll be a group of authors and editors for our work at the same time.
Once the pub is up and running, we can add some random writers. People will come in to contribute their work, but they will only be ‘writers’ for our publication, not editors.
The publication should cover a range of Topics — Tasteful content. (That means that all types of content, including poetry, science and education, recipes, technology, history, and so on, will be accepted..)
Everything I said in my opening post must be discussed with everyone. All of us who will be a part of the publication must follow the guidelines after they have been finalized with everyone's input on this forum post to prevent any future problems.
One important thing: Writing for this publication does not imply that we are unable to contribute our work to our own or any other publication; there must be no such restrictions.
https://hubpages.com/forum/post/4261688
If you have any questions, please feel free to post and discuss them here.
As this is teamwork, everyone's opinion must be valued. I hope I made it clear.
Much Love and Blessings!
My medium account https://medium.com/@Pamels99
I appreciate what you are doing Good Luck Justice.
I look forward to seeing this publication up and running and being part of it. Please keep us posted, Justice.
OK guys Misbah the publication is out, but we need some things to put the publication in order.
1) Editors: about 5 or 6 people who are serious in publishing good article
2) writers
3) the publication logo, cover photo and avatar. Am a graphic designer but am not too good at it so if somebody can volunteer to create the publication logo for us. ( it must contain the publication name)
4) publication description
5) publication tagss
6) our rules and regulations for both writers and editors etc.
There are so much things we need to add, but for now let get things things ready.
Pls feel free to ask at question.
Hello, Justice. Thank you for your response:)
As far as I know, John Hansen and Linda Lum (Carb Diva) are interested in joining the pub and becoming editors. Pamela, another HP member, is a really kind friend. I'm not sure if she wants to participate. I have sent her an email, I hope she'll let us know soon.
As for the writers, I suppose we can add them at random once the pub is up and running. Yes, if anyone from HubPages wants to join the pub, they are most welcome.
I can create the pub logo, cover photo, and avatar and post them here for everyone to see and vote for the best one.
The publication description: As we are open to publishing about any topic, I believe a brief description will suffice. 'The home of diversified content,' for example, or 'Tasteful content- You'll fall in love with,' or a simpler one, like I'm using for my pub: 'This publication covers a wide range of topics, including psychology, fashion, lifestyle, food, poetry, personal essays, spirituality, and much more.'
Tags, I believe we can use 5, so choose tags that are commonly used, such as Lifestyle, Health, Recipes, Poetry, Science, and so on.
Editors can self-publish their work; there is no need for moderation because we have all been writing for a long time and are familiar with all of the standards that must be followed.
Yes, for writers, any editor who is online can review and publish their work.
PS: Can you please tell me the name of the publication? So that I can start working on the logo, avatar, and cover photo.
@Everyone: Please feel free to post any questions you may have. Also, feel free to offer advice and share ideas. Thank you very much!
Best Wishes and Blessings!
The name of the publication is ALL INCLUSIVE MOTIVATION.
N/b: the avatar must contain the name of the publication with some other things about the publication if possible.
Please allow everyone to vote on the name of the publication. We were looking for something that could genuinely tell others that the pub is created by HP writers, at least, that was my vision, which I also expressed in my opening post.
I don't like the name at all. It doesn't give any clue to hubpages, and it definitely should.
'The hub for hubbers."
'Hubpages Portfolio'
Hubpages club'
There are so many options, but I believe it should have hubpages in the magazine title, otherwise, to my mind, it is absolutely pointless.;
Tess, I agree with you. 'HubPages Portfolio' is a good suggestion.
Let's wait for others to join the conversation and share their thoughts.
Furthermore, I believe we should not rename the pub because the URL will still contain the old name. So, it is possible that it may not appear in the Medium search. I guess we need to start over.
Firstly, thank you Goodluck Justice for starting the publication, but I agree with Tess and Misbah that the name should contain some reference to HubPages in it so that people instantly know there is a link.
Perhaps something like ‘The Hub Pub’ (pub being short for publication), or ‘The Hub Club,’ but ‘HubPages Portfolio’ is okay too.
Misbah, you may be right about the url not changing though, so maybe we do need to start from scratch when we have decided on a name.
I am willing to be an editor by the way. I have already followed you on Medium, Goodluck Justice.
How about a bi-line something along the lines of “A Safe Haven Where Writers From HubPages and Medium Unite.”
Thank you so much, John. What a wonderful suggestion. I liked that description. That fits perfectly
Blessings to you!
John, I liked your suggestions about the name of publication. "The Hub Club" sounds great.
How about 'The Hubbers Club' or 'The Hubbers Page' or 'Where HubPages Meets Medium' or 'HubPages Meeting Medium'
I like Hubpage Portfolio. It sounds professional. I like yoursuggestions, John.
With respect, I think that is a terrible name. It doesn't give any indication to anyone that it is a Hubpages publication, and anyone looking for a Hubpages publication will not be looking for a pub by the name of 'all inclusive motivation.'
It's also has the cliched feel of self-help, and that does not go down well with a good few people on Medium.
Pls for the editors you can email me your medium profile link @ goodluckjustice697@gmail.com or drop it here
The link to my medium profile: https://medium.com/@misbahsheikhh
My medium profile link: https://medium.com/@jodah06
I have already created the publication with this name but, you can change the name of the publication that is best suited for everyone
After we finalize the name of the publication, I will start designing the Logo, Avatar, and Cover photo. I liked all the suggestions, but I agree with Pamela that HubPages Portfolio sounds more professional. I am counting mine, John's, and Pamela's vote. And of course, Tess's as she was the one who suggested it.
So is everyone okay with the name 'HubPages Portfolio'?
@ Tess @LindaLum @Goodluck Justice: Any suggestions?
Yup, I'm on board. I also like the idea of using the byline to link Hubpages and Medium.
I would leave out the word 'safe.' I like the rest. I also like both designs above, but I prefer the words 'Don't forget to like. comment, and follow.' Well, I like that idea. It might be better to write something like "Feel free to like, comment, and follow." What do you think?
Totally love the beige one. Absolutely awesome!
What is the purpose of this publication? To drive traffic to HP articles or to earn on Medium?
To earn on Medium
https://hubpages.com/forum/post/4261688
To earn on Medium.
I would say:
1. Hubpage writers are all well trained and experienced writers.
2. There are a good few of us, and that immediately gives us leverage. It makes for a stronger publication.
3. All publications can be divided into sections, so the publication can be set up to cover the most common topics we would write about with a miscellaneous one where things don't fit.
4. As we all know each other, we can depend on the different strengths of each.
I think we can grow the publication quickly.
@Everyone: Please check all the designs ( Avatar, Cover photo, and Logo) posted above. Let me know if there's anything you want me to edit. Thank you!
@Everyone: Hello, everyone. I am still waiting. Please check all the designs (Avatar, Cover photo, and Logo) posted above. Let me know if there's anything you want me to edit. Thank you!
It’s almost morning here and I am going to sleep now…See you all soon
Yeah...I haven't figured out Medium yet.
But sounds like a wonderful idea.
Join in, Bredz. We love you! Spend some time learning about it. I am sure you’ll love it.
Me too. I'm learning Medium so may want to join, too. Can I join later or do you need to know now?
Great job on the logos and cover photos, Misbah. Such a difficult choice. I am not going to be much help because I like them all. (I like the inclusion of the words "don't forget to like, comment, and follow" or something to that effect, though.) I am willing to go with whatever the majority decides. Yes, as Tess suggested maybe you can leave out the words "safe" and just say "a haven..."
@Everyone: Okay, I'll make the changes and return here as soon as possible. Please stay tuned.
Great job misbah. I really appreciate your work in the publication.
I would like us (the editors) to create a WhatsApp group where we can share ideas on how we are going to make the publication look great.
Thank you very much, Justice. I'm sorry, but I don't want to share my WhatsApp number. There are no such things as trust issues; it's only that I have some ground rules that I firmly follow. Perhaps we can start a group email or join each other on twitter. I hope no one minds.
I have lived in five countries since I signed up for whatsapp. I have no idea what my telephone number is.
OK guys when we are done with the pictures I will drop the link to the medium publication so we can take a look at it.
Pls: I have added 3 people to the publication as editors, but I have not seen any response yet. Don't know if you should check your mails or medium account to confirm.
@Goodluck Justice: after finishing all HubPages Portfolio designs. I will also make some designs for your publication 'ALL INCLUSIVE MOTIVATION.' It’s my way to say thank you.
I thought we were going to go for Hubpages Portfolio. No way I want to be part of a publication called 'All inclusive motivation.' The URL will be wrong as well.
Sorry for the confusion, Tess.
I am making a separate design for Goodluck’s publication. I saw her publication is up, but she’s not using any logo. So I thought I should make one for her.
Our publication name is HubPages Portfolio.
So why has Goodhead Justice now started a publication called Hubpages Portfolio, and the blurb reads:
"this publication is a place where writers and readers come to share and gain knowledge about health, psychology"
The URL is also incorrect. Also, it's not done in a publication. It has to be done in a publication. I don't think that someone who is new can do this.
Unless there is someone else, I can set this up as a pub. Has someone done this, or should I open up a publication?
It does need to be a publication?
I have similar thoughts. I think I would be happier if Tess took charge.
+++++
I mean this as kindly as I can, but it might be wise to move this project to someone else. Though Goodluck Justice has put in effort here, I'm not entirely sure they really get HubPages. The user has only been on HP for about 5 weeks. They also haven't gotten to the point of having an article on a niche site. There also isn't much of a Medium presence either.
I think someone to captain this needs a bit more established experience. Someone who has also been on HP for a while and who has developed a presence and relationships. I'd like a group of editors that people know pretty well from the forums, and a balance of different people.
I commend Goodluck/Goodhead Justice for stepping up to the plate, and they have the potential to be a great contributor. At the moment, I think they're too new.
No worries. If others are okay. I'll set up the pub. Misbah can do the artwork. I'll add everybody as editors and writers, etc.
As we are all experienced writers, newbies only have to learn Medium formatting. It's similar to hubpages.and anyone who has been writing on multiple platforms will pick it easily.
I also suggest a Facebook group where we can use FB Messenger which means that security is not an issue. Alternatively Twitter has a messenger aspect. FB one can do groups, though.
OMG! I guess she's not paying attention to what we're discussing. Her pub's name was 'All inclusive motivation' until yesterday, which is why I said above that I would make one design for her to use on her publication ( All inclusive motivation.)
She also said she added 3 of us as Editors in the pub and will share the link to pub tomorrow... I'm curious who she added there and in which pub.
Tess, I believe it is a good idea if you can make the publication. You are a respectable member of the community, and we all have faith in you. I can do the designing.
PS: I don't use Facebook, but I do use Twitter.
Oh, it doesn't matter what we use to communicate, so long as we have a means. I will set up a pub called Hubpages Portfolio. If you all let me have your Medium names, I'll add you. Give me a day or two. I'm in Ireland. Different time zone. It's getting late here.
No problem, Tess. Please take your time. But I believe we should first ask Goodluck Justice to change the name, as we will be using it for our pub

She loves to write about food and recipes
We are going to call it HubPages Portfolio. Misbah is just making a separate design for Goodluck Justice with that other name if she wants to use it for a different publication. If I read correctly.
I need suggestions for the tagline and the description. We also need to decide on 5 different sub-magazines.
So me might have one for gardening, one for politics, homemaking, one for continuing ed (videos and tutorials on how to make things), or whatever. You tell me. In order to make it as viable and have something for everyone, I think it's important to have one or two of the sub-magazines to be more general. I'm open to suggestion.
We also need to agree on how to format. So that even if the story is different, it's easy to read, and our readers will get use to it.
I would suggest sticking to Medium formatting.
Title - H1
By line H2
The featured image (the one that acts as a thumbnail when you post the link elsewhere) should be directly under the H2 byline.
Sub-titles through out story - H1
On medium, about 50% is IT. It's broadening, though.
I write about topics such as psychology (mental health), technology, history, beauty, and poetry. John also enjoys writing poetry and fiction... He's also written some 'How to' articles. Pamela enjoys writing about health. She also writes poems. I guess we should have a tag for poetry, health, and mental health, or we can also merge health and mental health into one category.
Let's do a creative writing one that includes poetry and fiction.
Another one for psychology/mental health or self help. Will have to think of better names than these.
Who else writes about what?
Tess, you suggested using H1 for the title and H2 for the byline. I have a question: aren't we allowed to use a kicker? I do use it sometimes.
Yes, you can use a kicker. Very few people do. It's a good idea. I'm just trying to keep it simple and basic for the start.
Also, the avatar size is 1000 pixels by 1000 pixels
The logo is 400 x 400
And I'm now confused by the requirements for the cover image because they've removed the guidelines for it. From memory, it just had to be a light one so that words could be seen on it.
Possibly we should have a miscellaneous section as I sometimes write about things like dreams, drawing, gardening, freelance/ghostwriting etc.
I can’t find where I received any invitation from Goodluck Justice to be an editor anywhere either.
I agree, John. Having a miscellaneous section is a nice idea.
I guess no one has received any invitation from Justice to be an editor.
Pls I don't understand what we are doing or what is going on here.
Hello, Justice. Can you please rename your publication to what it was originally? We never asked you to rename the publication because the URL doesn't match. We have now voted for Tess to be in charge of this publication; I guess you are new to this. I apologize for any inconvenience and hope you understand..
Blessings and Best wishes!
Okay, so here's the Avatar
Please, everyone, let me know if it looks fine now.
Looks terrific.
I've gotta jump on this and figure it all out.
I am posting 2 logos here, please choose one of them
[First]
[Or Second]
Here's the cover photo:
Please, everyone, let me know if it looks fine now.
I'm going to suggest that within the magazine, we have the following five sections.
Mind and Heart
Covers all things psyche, including mental health and self-hel.
Creative Words
All things poetry and fiction
How to...
All articles on how to do things
Home and Garden
All things home and garden
Here and there
For anything that doesn't fit the above categories
Everyone okay with that? Or are there better ideas out there?
Tess, I can't find a contact button on your HubPages profile. Can you please send me an email via HubPages so that I can send you the image files as I can't post images larger than 520 pixels in the forums.
I forgot to mention I sometimes write about Mindfulness and spirituality too... I guess they can get fit under the category Mind and Heart & Here and There.
How about a category 'Relationships' I guess Andrea writes about it.
Relationships would go under Heart.
There are only 5 categories permitted. And, hopefully, lots of hubbers will be joining.
Okay, Tess
Please check your email I have sent you the images. Don't forget to check the spam folder
This is probably the most interesting forum read I’ve seen.
I just started medium with a pseudonym but may start another account to have a link to HPs. What constitutes how-to articles? Mine are all about Excel, SQL, JavaScript, and the like.
Thank you very much, Joshua. We'd love to have you on our team. When you're ready, don't forget to post the link to your Medium profile here.
Best wishes and Blessings!
I’ll be back here I haven’t created the account yet.
Hi guys,
The magazine is up.
https://medium.com/hubpages-portfolio
I have added Pamela, Misbah, Andrea, and Jodah as writers. You've also all been added as editors. So you should be able to publish without anyone okaying it.
If anyone else wants to be added, please give me your Medium URL.
I have added an old story from mine just so that it isn't blank. It is posted under the home section.
In order to get into the right section, you need to put the following words into the 'Change topics' section in Medium.
For Mind, Heart, and Spirit, use the word 'mind'
For Poetry and Fiction, use the word 'write'
For How to do anything, use the word 'creators,
For Here, There, and Everywhere, use the word 'issues,
For Home and Garden, use the word 'home,
At this point, anything can be changed, and I am open to suggestion.
We also need an about page, and if someone can give me the content on that, I will set it up.
Misbah, I also added all the artwork, and it isn't showing up. I'm using the new beta design. Do you know what I am missing?
Hello, Tess,
Kudos to you!
Thank you so much for adding all of us. We are missing LindaLum, she writes about food.
Kenna McHugh wanted us to add her as a writer.
I just checked the publication setting. The beta version will only let you add Avatar and cover images. I really didn't like the Beta version when I was making my publication and opted out of it. I like the settings that I made for my pub. If you want you can apply the same in the HubPages portfolio. Please see the screenshot. The Beta version also doesn't let you design the Homepage.
This is how my publication appears:
These are the settings :
See there's an option so it lets me edit my homepage as well.
These are the settings for the homepage... and it lets you add more eye-appealing effects.
The Beta version does not let you edit the homepage settings...
Now the thing is only Avatar will be available for others to see. The logo will also appear on the homepage, whereas in the beta version it does not It is the same for my publication as well. Alternatively, what we can do is add a background image on the homepage instead that way the cover photo of our publication will be visible to others as well or We can also use a simple color like I am using. Please see below, I tested it:
.
Change the size to 'M' or 'L' and add a cover image. For the layout, I chose both the Logo and Title.
Here's how my publication appears to the readers the more eye-appealing it will look the more the reader wants to stay
I am also adding one of my previous story to the publication under heart section. I request all the editors to add one of their previous or new stories. So that we can fill up the homepage
Can you get into settings? I've added you as an editor.
I've added all five sections in the magazines plus the cover photo. I've now switched to the original version. It still doesn't show the cover version. Worse, it doesn't show the different sections. I have the size set to Medium.
The cover image must be the wrong size. No matter how I set it, it's very small.
Also, in order to get your story so that it is both on the front page and in the right magazine section, for your particular story, you have to put the word 'mind' into the tag section (where it says 'change
I took out Illumination and put in mind. So now it's on the front page as well as the section where people would look for that kind of article. If you don't want it that way, you can change it back.
Tess, this is how it appears for now. I can't see the sections. Do you want me to get into the settings and make the changes?
Yes, it appears like this now... I would prefer a Grid style like mine
I can see the sections now as well as the cover photo you added. You need to drag and adjust it. It will not appear whole but to make it more visible you need to change the layout size to Large. And also you have to choose the 'Both' option. So that the Logo and title both will appear on the pub homepage.
Yes, I also am trying to get it into a grid pattern. I find that if it is a strictly chronological style, people read the top story and they don't follow through. Please do what needs to be done.
Yes, I can get into settings, see Misbah's post, and all the sections.
Well, I've added you all as editors. Many hands make light work. Maybe we can do a great job on this publication and get many readers. We're all good writers here! Well, those of us who have been doing this for a long while, anyway.
Is this Kenna McHug's Medium page?
Also I need the URL for Linda Lum.
Yes, here's Kenna's: https://kennamc.medium.com/
Here's Linda's: https://medium.com/@lindalum_2779
Are we set on the 5 categories? People write articles and poems about love, relationships, mental and physical health, sometimes pets, which could fall under home life I guess.
I would rather not bring politics in as a category as differing views could divide the group. These are all just thoughts I have had as I have followed the conversation. I like the logos, etc.
I haven't put politics as a topic. I've put a general category for things called Here and There and Everywhere for everything that doesn't fit.
There's a wide variety of writers on Hubpages. I'm trying to fit in everybody. All poetry would go into the category 'Poems and Fictions.' I expect the poetry section to do well because it does well on Medium. So I've given it a section, alongside all creative writers. Ideally, I would have liked to put a series section as well, but Medium only allows 5 sub-divisions.
Tess, I have sent you the same image in different size and format. Can you try applying that as a cover photo? Please use the large layout.
I just took a look at the publication on Medium, and it looks great!
Okay I am designing it now. You can all see the effects after 10 -15 minutes
Please have a look at the changes I made. Is it looking nice now?
Yes, I like it. However, can we change the white tag line to black. It covers the picture and is difficult to to read. Alternatively, can se change the picture so that the print is above the Hubpages Portfolio blurb line.
I have no idea how to fix that, but I have written to Medium to ask them.
Pamela, I saw you submitted a draft, and I approved it; you can accept your work immediately without waiting for anybody else to do so. You also need to include a tag for one of the categories in which you are posting, in your case it was 'Mind.' (I added it already)
Here’s the list of tags:
For Mind, Heart, and Spirit, use the word 'mind'
For Poetry and Fiction, use the word 'write'
For How to do anything, use the word 'creators,
For Here, There, and Everywhere, use the word 'issues,
For Home and Garden, use the word 'home,
I guess I've figured it out.
Please check. Is it looking nice now?
Just checked and found that it is not looking good on my IPad.
May be we can only use the logo and avatar like this:
This is how it looks on my mobile browser:
I guess it is not a good idea to use a background image. What do you think? Any suggestions?
Can anyone tell me how they managed to follow this and my publication? I am asking cos I can not see a follow button on both publications. Is it just me, or is it the same for everyone? I know you can find and follow it using the search box, but the follow button does not appear on the pub's site. I have followers on my publication wondering how they started following my pub.
I'm not a lawyer, but aren't you on thin ice by calling it "HubPages Portfolio?" My understanding is that "HubPages" is a trademark and a brand.
Even just reworking the HubPages logo for your own use, writing the word in a different font, is likely not allowed in this context.
If Arena wanted to complain at some point in the future, you could just get taken down? They might see it as you using their brand name?
You'd probably be okay doing it with a private Facebook group, but you're using it in the public domain with a publication that people are using to make money?
Anyway, I'm not seeking to be involved. It's just a thought that occurred to me.
You might be right. What about Hubbers?
Thank you so much, Paul. I think you've made a valid point. I sincerely appreciate your kind assistance. Do you have any suggestions?
I have emailed Matt to ask him if this is okay. We are not using Hubpages logo, although we are using part of the name.
He may ask us to take it down, in which case, it's not a problem. It's a bit of a loss for Hubpages because, obviously, apart from increasing earnings on Medium, it would send more traffic to Hubpages.
So we'll just wait and see.
Tess, Thank you for doing this. If it were a big deal, he would have chimed in by now.
I sent him the link. He said he didn't see any problem but he'd have to look at it.
Let's wait for Matt's response. I saw he's online; maybe he'll answer here.
Attention Everyone
I'm not completely satisfied with Matt's response regarding the use of the word 'HubPages' in the name of our publication. I don't want to get myself or any of you into any legal trouble. So I'd like to close this publication, and anyone who has contributed to it, please remove your work from it before we take it down.
I'm going to start a new publication with a different name and add all of the HubPages Portfolio's editors and writers to the new pub. You can then repost your previously published stories in the new pub...The publication will be named "Hubbers Portfolio." It will be ready in a few hours. I sincerely hope this does not offend anyone.
Best Wishes!
