Spamming threads with insultive comments/getting off topic..

   HI frienz,
   should be stopped. I for one am insulted. Opinions are one thing however, contaminating a thread or getting off topic is disgraceful. I for do not appreciate it..
   my "Who believes in God" thread is trashed. I do not appreciate it.
   If you don't believe, don't post. In my opinion. That is a form of spam. Some of the comments have nothing to do with God. And others day do insult God. Which has nothing to do with the topic.
   Very disappointing.

      Hate to break it to you nikki but that is going to happen. and I wouldn't have posted a thread like this...this is what I consider rude. if you don' like how ppl are posting then by all means ignore it and move on. ppl are going to comment whether you like it or not. asking ppl to stop is quite ridiculious

      The people that went to your thread and comment, can't care less if you like it or not. The ones that didn't ,don't know what you're talking about.

               I wrote tons of hubs this last week and I have tons more in my head but...inspiriation went *thhpp* once again but I am working on ideas for my nature and animals going beserk on humans right now and it's fun hehehehe still working on the nature ones and it's going slow but it's fun

      Unfortunately, rudeness prevails here as it does in many other social settings. Posters can be verbal bullies who rely upon insulting rhetoric because they are unable, or just too lazy, to express the reasons for their positions.  These trolls can not be prevented from posting in the forums but they can be prevented from highjacking the discussion.   Simply ignore their posts.  Nothing is more irritating to a bully then being ignored.  Trolls want to argue and they need to be noticed.  Give them what they want and they will never leave.  The best way to have a meaningful dialog with other posters is to just keep your comments on topic. Treat the posts of all the trolls on both sides of the issue as background noise and just tune them out.  No one should feel obligated to reply to any post just because it was directed at him or her.
      
      Another thought.  Instead of a forum thread, write a hub.  This way you can moderate the comments and delete those that are off topic.

   ah, disgraceful, I say!  With "hijack this thread" and "The HubTribe is Forming"  and a few others you can pretty much say and do whatever you want, but still people get rude. . . nothing to do but ignore em, or direct them to another thread.   I stay out of religion and politics usually because I know how I would be - rude!

   I find it interesting that you(nikki1) are implying that "GOD" is insulted.
   
   Did "it" tell you that the posts in the forum were insulting?
   
   I can understand that you do not like your belief in the "GOD" concept to be challenged, but I can only suggest you don't open a public forum thread to discuss your belief in the "GOD" concept.
   
   There are far too many people who do not see things as you do and will be glad to inform you of such. If you cannot take the critics who choose to tell you that your belief is misplaced, then I'm saddened to hear you're not open to other people's opinions. And, that in and of itself is terrible news, considering you are a human being and our makeup as humans is to open ourselves to learning.
   
   Should you decide against learning, then you only hurt yourself in the long-term and severely do damage to your own well being.
   
   Either way, posting a thread like this one, surely isn't the answer to your problem.

    I only really go in to the religious threads which talk about, or refer to atheism,  but you have to remember that most normal people see religion as something incredibly weird, like someone who believes in santa, the flying spaghetti monster, or similar at the age of 30.
    
    Being religious opens you up to ridicule simply because you are talking about something which makes no common, practial, or scientific sense.
