What happened to the auto-suggested similar articles on HobbyLark?
It was a nice feature that let me read random top 10 lists for a bit with zero brain energy.
I noticed it got removed a little while back and thought it was a bug or something.
Any idea what happened to it?

We removed suggested articles to reduce page load time. You can use the search feature on the site to find articles.

Matt, well, what's a suggested article? Thanks, and enjoy the holiday seasons.

We used to have a feature in articles that displayed suggested articles similar to the one you were reading.

I liked the suggested articles and am sad to see them go, but it sounds like getting rid of them was necessary.

Matt said that it's to do with reducing the page-loading times. Those have not been good recently, as people like Eugene and Glenn have pointed out. Maybe something's got to be thrown overboard to keep the ship afloat regarding the search engines.

Google are also changing the way that they look at linking, I don't know if that's a factor, too. The suggested articles link up related topics, as well as entice the reader to stay around and look at other articles. HP may be altering their linking strategy, I don't know, this idea's just speculation.

It was actually really nice, that sucks.
It made it easy to just go through random MTG top 10 lists when I was bored or on a bus or something
