This is the feedback I got from a Hubpages' Senior Editor recently to my article: https://hubpages.com/religion-philosoph … Revelation
    0000000000000000

While your article is written well and does provide some good context regarding the Book of Revelation, your article does attempt a bit too pointedly to direct readers to your other articles that touch on similar topics.

In fact, it almost feels as if the entire article were written just to direct readers to these other articles. There is actually a better (and more HubPages-network-site safe) way of doing what you're trying to do. Instead of creating all of the headings for the six articles with their titles, you would need to create different topic headings and discuss the Book of Revelation in more detail and originality, and then hyperlink your other Owlcation articles where it makes sense for readers to follow them if they'd want further info on the same topic.

I hope this makes sense to you, and I look forward to you recreating this article in a way that can properly incorporate your other articles as hyperlinks.

Now, this is my question: I have been under the impression that linking back to one’s articles on the Hubpages networks is absolutely forbidden. Am I wrong?

    You can link from:

    Network site to network site.
discover.hubpages.com or hubpages.com to network site.

but not network site back to discover.hubpages.com or hubpages.com.

Oh, really? Thanks for the info. So, Owlcation to Owlcation. What about Owlcation to Soapboxie, for example? Is that allowed, crossing networks?

Eugene's advice is correct, I believe.

I'd add that you're focusing on the link part of the advice, but in many ways, the most important part is "discuss the Book of Revelation in more detail and originality".

They are basically saying that your content is thin.

The link advice should be relatively easy to deal with. However, the "thin content" part is harder to deal with and involves much more work and if that isn't rectified, then your link strategy won't really matter much.

I understand what the editor is saying, Your article as it stands is unsatisfying. You describe some mysteries and never explain them, directing the person to other articles that you've written instead. I think an article should be valuable for readers as it exists, even if we mention other compositions that we've written. Readers shouldn't be forced to go to the other articles to discover what the writer meant.

Another point that I don't think is great is the last section where you say that some topics are under consideration. If you haven't written them yet and may not do so, I don't think that they should be mentioned.
