In the fall, HubPages said that traffic and earnings would be back to normal in a few months but, sadly, that hasn't happened. Could someone from the team explain what you're doing on your end to rectify the situation? That would encourage writers like me to create more content. It would be wonderful to have a regular team member join the forums from time to time with information like they once did. Thanks!

Hi there. We are continuing to work on improving page load and core web vitals across all of our sites, but it may take time for those changes to have an impact.

I'm glad to see the staff is aware of this problem, because I suspect it has a significant impact on SEO. I noticed sections of some pages loading slowly when I click on HubPages' articles. When I view pages on my own site, they pop up quickly, so I know it's not my Internet. I hope this gets resolved soon because it will take time for Google to detect the improvement.

Page load on my phone is really slow, while it's fast on a notebook. Ads load before images which isn't a good user experience.

Yes, I've been getting the Google Analytics warnings about slow-loading pages. It needs sorting.

I appreciate that it takes time to fix things and Google doesn't react quickly.

However, the SEO problems at HP have been going on for over 20 months now, it's inevitable that writers here are frustrated.

Is there any discussion at all about revamping the ad layout? Surely you have to recognize the impact it is having on readers. At the very least it has to play a role in page load times.

I mean this constructively, and I do really appreciate that HP is making an effort, but to be blunt, it seems pointless to worry about the ratio of the top image when ads break up the text every few lines, making the page extremely difficult to read.

You seem to be working on everything but this issue, which appears to be the main problem.

Agreed. I think changing top images is only going to amount to a very small, if not even noticeable, change to traffic and earnings.

Thank you for responding, HP. I know it's near impossible to put a definitive timeframe on all of this.

I’ve been waiting on that to happen for a couple of months now.

Seems to me that traffic views have dropped consistently as the design of the site has become more difficult to navigate. Maybe it's just me, but signing in on my one of my email notifications didn't allow me to go to my own page afterward. I also miss being able to search for fellow-writers to read their latest. And PS, my traffic is actually embarrassing at this point. Where I used to sign in to address 100 comments on one article, I now have less overall visits than that.

I agree that at least part of the issue us too many ads that are to intrusive.  Please, please look into this. It will make more money in short term A B testing, but kill traffic.
