18 Duplicate Ads in a Single Hub Is Spammy

I see so much duplication of ads in my hubs that I decided to count one of them. 18 repetitions seems spammy. I don't think that is a good for SEO. I remember a time when Google rules required no more than three ads per hub. Things sure have changed!

That's excessive, Glenn. My articles seem to contain a lot of white space where the multitude of duplicate ads used to appear. I'm glad the ads are gone, but I wish HP would clean up the vacant space they left behind.

I see all that white space too, Shauna. I commented about that elsewhere.  It's disturbing that TAG isn't cleaning that up.

I thought images or ads were just slow loading - hence the white space, but that doesn't seem to be the case. It looks really bad.

Many are slow loading and some never render at all. Hence, the white space.

It would be helpful if the blank spaces could have a hairline and "Advertisement" or similar added to them. The same goes for the slow loading article images that don't appear until after ads are shown.

When I first published "Top 20 Tips for Visiting Disneyland Paris With Young Children", I was frustrated to see similar multiple ad placements. Having had a quick check now, 2 of the ads appear 9 times each, but require opening. So that's an improvement.
Another frustration was the ad placement in mid-capsule or between photos and their details. This even caused me to rethink my writing style to avoid paragraphs within capsules in case an ad sneaked into the gap. This has not gone completely, but has been reduced.
However, I notice white space. Clearly the area of ad placement within articles requires more work, but I am seeing small improvements.
Thankfully the ad of a grandmother being mugged in a car park, that I objected to appearing multiple times in a child-friendly article, has disappeared!
