Impressions have been altered from what they were previously (a 50% jump) and earnings increased proportionately over the last week. The figures seem to have been retroaltered. Impressions are now close to views, rather than 60% of them.
Hopefully this isn't an error?
I hope it's a new dawn. My fingers are crossed that it lasts. I'm seeing earnings for yesterday I haven't seen in years.
I think there's just an error in the stats resulting in Hubpages' share of impressions and earnings not being deducted. But fingers crossed too. CPM seems to have fallen somewhat. Maybe the new video/ad is bringing in lots of impressions and it took some time for the earnings to be accrued and added to the stats for the last week.
We made some adjustments and recalculations with the new video player. That explains why your earnings from the past week have increased.
The best news I’ve heard in weeks.
Thank you Matt.
Thanks. Earnings were also looking good with the other video.
I made that up There's probably a word for it that didn't come to mind. "Changed"?
I actually Googled "retroaltered" after I read your post!
I was wondering, too. I thought it was a real word! I even came up with a definition in my head to justify Eugene's use: "a change that puts things back to the way they were."
A quick Google for reverse definition:
As I recall, we've posted comments like these in the past!
change back: if something that has changed changes back, it returns to how it was originally
change back to: Do you think things will ever change back to the way they were?
I get how you can tell how many views you get, but how do you know how many impressions you get?

I can’t imagine that Matt has engineered you drop in traffic. Mine is about half what it was a few weeks ago. No idea why. People preoccupied by the coronavirus?

Well I hope not of course, but when I started writing on Hubpages years ago there were a lot of writers and a lot of encouragement. These days I know Matt pops in now and again but otherwise it's a bit of a closed door and CPM for the last few weeks at approximately $1.50 seems to be about half of...

I was thinking about this for sometime. Went through some details on this matter and found out that HP program is mainly concentrated on Impressions whereas Adsense is all about clicks. It's not that I want to become a Millionaire just by writing, I thought to ask the "Seniors" feedback...

I just checked my earnings panel, and I was quite surprised to see that my earnings from yesterday were 2 cents. They have been in the range of 20 cents to about 75 cents a day. Yesterday was actually a fairly high traffic day for me, and that doesn't make sense. Any idea why it would be that low,...

Did anyone have his or her impressions substantially reduced for Sunday, May 14, 2023? Pretty strange cus when I check Google Analytics my page views for May 14, 2023, are substantially higher than May 13, 2023. But strangely, when I check my Hubpage earnings report, my impressions for May...
