HI there. I resubmitted my Special Needs Pet hub to Pet Helpful this morning and got the same editorial letter back. I fixed the layout, changed all three photos, and the text formatting.  What am I missing or doing wrong? (I've gotten the same type of editorial letters for other hubs, past and present too.)  I've included the hub link for feedback: https://discover.hubpages.com/animals/S … d-Love-Too Thanks.

Hi. Your article could be very useful, but I do see some problems with it. There are no credits or licenses for the photos. In addition, how do you know that in general in your country healthy puppies and kittens are adopted within hours and that healthy adults are adopted within days? I know you have references at the end, but I think you need to say “According to …” and enter a reliable source in the article.

You should check your punctuation,  grammar, and capitalization as you go through the article. You’ve used the term “growth palate” incorrectly. I have never heard of cobbler’s syndrome in cats. Of course, I’m not a veterinarian, but you should check to see if you’ve used the right term. I think you need to be very careful when you’re discussing dog and cat disorders and you’re not a veterinarian.

I’m not a big fan of a bold heading followed by another bold heading. If you can change this, I think you should.

In addition to what Alicia mentioned, on your "types of special needs pet" section, the items you enumerated look like you are describing diseases and disabilities, and not type of special needs pet. May be you should reword each item if you can.

You can revised them as "pets with...." or "dog/cats suffering from...." etc.

I can see this article really comes from your heart. As already mentioned, you need to use pictures that are licensed for public usage and credit them. Also, your opening photo is quite small while your love is blind picture is huge. I suggest checking out some of the articles on PetHelpful to see the picture sizes and photo credits.
I agree with Alicia about her comment concerning what you said about healthy kittens and puppies being adopted within hours. I worked in feline rescue for about 10 years and I can tell you that statement is not at all true, especially during kitten season. Adults adopted within days? Sadly, there are some healthy adults that never get adopted.
You said:  "cancer, it’s an easy and relatively inexpensive treatment plan to feed them with dietary modifications." You come across as if you feed an animal that has cancer the right food, they'll be OK. This is not true.
Lastly, some of your text modules are pretty long. I would break them up into smaller capsules and add additional pictures.
Fingers crossed for you that with some changes, your article will make it to PetHelpful as it has some good information.

Thanks for the feedback and take it under consideration. Those references are what I've gotten my research from, even on what causes those disabilities and conditions like Cobbler Syndrome.   I've been volunteering at a pet rescue shelter and see puppies and kittens get adopted within 24 hours or so, even for special needs pets. My shelter has a Facebook group page that lists all pets that are adopted, fostered, pending for both cats and dogs.  I did run my article through granmarly before I submitted it.
