Ok i got a dumb question, i've been doing a lot of reading around here in the forums and wonderful hubs by brilliant hubbers. I do however would like to know, Is it possible to insert and use an ID i have on Amazon.co.uk? here on hubpages?, or do i have to only use the Account ID from Amazon.com. I realize being a non resident of the U.S, that i will only be able to get cheques if i make a sale on Amazon through my hubs.  I ask this cause it saves the hassle of getting cheques in the mail. Rather than direct deposits in my bank account. This would completely suck. Pretty much confused. I do have 2 accounts on amazon & amazon.co.uk
Hoping to hear you guys out before i can insert an Amazon ID and start with the capsules etc.

By the way, do all of you receive your payouts from amazon through cheques?
Is there a smart way to set the minimum threshold payout? or just leave it at $100

I apologise in advance for being dumbastic about this. I shall go back to screen glaring and blinking profusely.

You can't use the other Amazons on HubPages, only the US one.

I think the gift vouchers are a waste of time for non-US Hubbers because the postage is usually astronomical!  I set my threshold to $250 and some set it even higher.  Just be prepared that it may take you months or even years to get a payout at that rate!

Thank you so much Marisa!, i seem to confuse myself alot, Its the simple insight you have that really helps out tarts like me, thank you again!!!

Oh and btw does this also apply to the Ebay program as well, i can only use the US affliate on ebay for hubpages is it? cause theres a UK version as well, and i read a hub, that says you can sign up either on the US or UK version.  So just clarifying with someone is a lot of help, sorry for rambling on!.

eBay is part of the HP Earnings Program, so you can't use your own account here - you have to apply through HP to be part of their program.

While can't say if you can use an existing Amazon id from amazon uk on hubpages, I can tell you that I have been paid for cheque and by gift vouchers. The gift voucher works well as it has a low payout threshold of merely $10. Plus you can avoid the postal delay associated with cheques, not to mention shop online with the voucher. hope this helps

I'm an Amazon UK affiliate, and when writing a sales hub I can usually add a link to Amazon UK for European readers who wouldn't normally buy the product from Amazon.com because of import restrictions.

There is an html option on text capsules that allows you to add it, but it is counted as an external link and so you can only put a maximum of two on each hub.

Ahhh so wait you're saying its possible to put in the Amazon UK ID and use those capsules for your hub? i thought only the US one as Marisa above stated.

No, the Amazon capsules are ONLY for Amazon.com, but you can put text links in with your UK affiliate code in them - up to 2 per hub.

If you choose a product on Amazon UK, and take the html for 'text only' from the product, you can open up a text capsule, choose 'html' from the top left of that capsule, put in the code, then 'clean it up' (there is a button for that), what you get is a nice text link to Amazon UK.

This is in addition to whatever Amazon.com capsules you add to the hub.

The majority of readers are from the US, so you really want to get an Amazon.com affiliation if you haven't already.

Can I hijack your thread, please.

Anyone know if you get paid by amazon in vouchers can you use them on another account? I only ask as just been paid out but my other half already has some vouchers in her account from online surveys and it would make sense to combine them, is it possible though?

Sorry for the hijack, but found the question through google so thought it was a good place to starts (being as I have a hub page membership).

You might want to read the forum rules.  Hijacking threads can lead to temporarily being banned.

No.  I tried giving some vouchers to someone else to use on their account, because I live in Australia and he lives in the US.  Couldn't be done - which seems pretty silly, considering they're called gift vouchers!
