Hey, Guys!
It's been YEARS since I've been active on HP. I make a payout about every month, sometimes two months, but I see where so much has changed. I have tried to look in the FAQ section but it doesn't help much, so I thought I would come here. There's no search button, so please forgive me if I am asking something that has been asked a thousand times before.
My question is, can we use our own Amazon Associate links? Back in the day (like way back from Squidoo days - if you know, you know), we could use our own Amazon links and different tracking IDs to see what worked. At one point I had an article that brought in over $15K in 2 months (once in a lifetime thing and surprisingly it was something that only costs $3-10). With that said, I'd like to go back to tracking with tracking IDs. Is that even allowed anymore? Can we use our own Amazon accounts? The only option I see is to either opt in or out of the Ad program and Amazon. From what I can tell, we are at the mercy of HP and using their IDs. Is that the case?
You won't be able to earn with your Amazon Associates ID. You'll need to enroll in the HubPages Amazon Program. Once your combined Ad and Amazon earnings reach an unpaid balance of $50, you will be paid around the 28th of the following month. You can enroll in the Amazon Program here.
As far as I know, we are allowed to use our Amazon ID. However, it's been a few months since I included an Amazon link in any post and things could have changed within that time.
PS
Earning $15k from Amazon is so impressive!
Makes me want to start including links immediately again.
Not for Amazon.com because Hubpages wan a cut of the profits, but you can use your own Amazon.co.uk associate links.

Currently, we are allowed 2 text links within a hub for links to our website, blogs, or articles written elsewhere. But, if you don't join the HP Amazon program, do you know that those 2 Amazon text links are not extra ones? If you use 2 amazon links, then you have used up your quota of 2 personal...

I read my amazon report about once every two weeks and have never had a click through. I found a link checker in my Amazon associates page and put one of my hubs in in and get this message:Fail: The link above was not tagged or was not a valid Amazon link.Any thoughts?

With the growing number of Hubbers that have published or self-published a book, an e-book, or other literary works, why not give them a self-promotion forum. Allow them to post relevant links there, for the benefit of authors and readers. Also, let them describe their works and authorship, link to...

I live in Minnesota, which is one of the states that Amazon has chosen to stop doing business with due to a state tax imposed upon Amazon, for Amazon affiliates in this state. For this reason, I can no longer monetize the Amazon module. I wanted to suggest the possibility of another affiliate...

I always recommend Hubbers to write at several rev-sharing sites for two reasons: one, not to put all your eggs in one basket and two, so you can create an interconnected web of articles across the internet to increase your profile as a writer (which will do you far more good than a big body...
