So I am a YouTuber and I often create videos that go with articles and articles to go with videos. This cross-promotion has done really well in the past.
I have a video with about 70,000 views that I created an article for (YouTube Video Stuck on Upload or Processing? Here's What to Do!)
I want to cross-promote but I don't want to link from my channel to discover (so I've removed the link for now.) Can anyone offer any advice on how to get this piece on a niche site?

Hi Melanie, I am a YouTuber, too, your article is well structured and informative. The latest guidelines mentioned that the first image should not have text, so maybe you could use your main image further down. Also, you may need to add more pictures as the minimum should be three. A small point to note: Twitter is now called X (insert facepalm!). Good luck!
That article looks pretty good to me. I might have formatted a few things differently, but I don't think that would prevent it from going to a niche site.
It looks like you published this weeks ago. Have you recently edited it and submitted it? If so, what site did you submit to? (I think TurboFuture would be the right one.) It takes a little while for them to review so be patient.
I wonder if some of your external links were the initial problem; though, I think if an editor reviewed them they'd be okay but who knows?
Your Discover url will redirect to the niche site when it moves, so don't worry about that. Unless you are concerned about the SEO impact on your YouTube channel by thinking to Discover, which I guess is a thing.
Love that you have Subnautica content on your channel BTW.
I too have produced YouTube videos to accompany articles and I think it's a great way to keep readers engaged and stay longer on the page.
At times, it can be a challenge finding exactly what needs done to get an article moved to a niche site, even after reading all the guidelines and going through a checklist. Sometimes, it could be just a matter of adding some references or a short bio that matches the topic.
If worst comes to worst, maybe contacting staff can help point you in the right direction?
The article looks good to me.
I would:
Add your Youtube vid
Resubmit your article for niche site inclusion
Email editors if it's turned down and ask them what the reasons are.
A good guide to fix problems uploading a video to YouTube. Thanks for sharing this worthy knowledge.

Just curious, but does anyone have experience with this? How'd you do it? Did you tell Google the article moved somehow or do anything else fancy? Or did you just copy, paste, delete from HubPages, and wait for Google to catch up?Im guessing there might be some duplicate content penalties from...

Hi,Do more experienced Hubbers have any useful tips for getting your article moved to a niche site? I kept seeing advice that goes something like "make sure you write a high-quality article" but it just seems so vague to me. I have 9 articles now and the only one that was moved to a niche...

This month they're in steep decline. While it's only a 4% drop so far, the trend looks very concerning.(I'm talking about views for the Discover site as a whole, as found on SEMRush, not my personal stats)
