How long does QAP take these days

I published an article 2 days ago, which is fine, but there are no new views, as normally happens as an article is going through the QAP process. Usually I would have had several new views by now, but it seems to have fallen into no man's land.

    Is this the new normal?

The QAP can take as long as 48 hours, but if you make an edit to the article while it's in the QAP, the process starts over.

That is odd. I published an article Saturday (Oct 21st). I recall seeing as many as 17 views before it passed QAP and was put on a niche site (Letter Pile) on Monday (10/23).

There was a period when editorial activity generally was very intense. I've noticed that things have seemed quieter recently.

Likewise, QAP was very quick, a few days, but it's maybe slower now, I don't know. I've not been published any new stuff recently.

I kind of wonder if they brought in a bunch of editors to undertake the massive project needed to work through all the niches after the algo changes but now they're letting them go.

This is just idle speculation on my behalf though.

It seems to be site-relative as well. I find some niche sites have a much higher tempo than others in terms of reviewing submissions and resubmissions. I suppose it depends on how much stuff they have to go through.

But in terms of QAP review to get the piece published, it goes quite quickly unless one publishes Friday evening or something like that. big_smile

I once had an issue, like as Matt, above said.                                 My advice is: don't ever edit an article when you hit the 'Publish' button within '48 hours'                                            Wait after the first 48 hours, when it's done through the QAP, when it's featured or not, or moved to a niche site,  than you do the editing.
