I've fallen off the wagon a bit with my articles - had a bit of a busy time with work, then a couple of health problems including covid! This has knocked me off my writing schedule, but oh well, life happens. Trying to catch up now and get some more part-written articles finished.
I've spent the morning working on a book review for a dark fantasy/horror anthology and have reached out to one of the editors that had put this anthology together. She's given the piece her blessing and has agreed to send me a paragraph on the book itself and what inspired her with this project. A HubPages exclusive!
As soon as it comes in, I'll add it to the article and publish. Pretty excited by this, it'll add something that other generic reviews don't have.
She thinks she'll have it with me in a couple of weeks, so I will keep you posted
Lovely to hear from you, Pollyanna.
How was your covid? I had it two times. The first one was pure hell. During the second one, I could manage quite alright, even though I was entirely energy-depleted, to say at least.
Nice! It sounds like you have some interesting times ahead. I hope it goes well with your articles.
Best of luck!
Thank you Jan! I've had it a few times now too, this time it was just like a really nasty cold with cough and fever. We ordered a spicy curry to try to shake the germs out and it was so strange not being able to taste or smell it! But thankfully I didn't need any sick days as my employer let me work from home during my illness. Definitely feeling better now, and I can taste my food again - chocolate is horrible with no taste, it's like eating a block of cold fat haha!
You're right, it does really make you tired, and the brain fog is very annoying.
I think it's just here to stay now like influenza.

Did anyone else obsess over their HubPages site for the first couple months?I've been here for going on 2 months now, and I'm constantly checking on my hubs. Seeing if the traffic is going up, or if its going down. Lately I've gotten really into trying to set up backlinks for all of my hubs and...

I'm still hanging in there on HP editing and writing, although my writing has slowed down due to the current circumstances here. Like many other writers I've signed up for Medium. I know how important interaction is on the site with other writers so if you let me know what name you go by on Medium,...

I've been using textbroker for some article sites I've done (not HP don't worry).. I write some of my articles myself but when I'm doing one for a subject I find tedious I outsource it there. I'm thinking bizarrely that maybe I should sign up as a writer there too and pick ones I fancy...

Should new articles be vetted by editors to check whether there are existing articles published that are fairly similar? I have at least two articles that were knocked completely out of SERPs because newer articles were written that cover similar topics and have several keywords in the title that...

I will be completing 50 hubs here shortly. Hubapges is the only platform that I've written on. My question is, should I go to other writing sites and publish there, or should I continue writing more hubs here exclusively to earn more money. more hubs=more income? If I should write elsewhere, what...
