Rupert has given us a few chuckles with his latest piece about Creative Obituaries.  Read it here: https://discover.hubpages.com/family/cr … obituaries

This is an interesting read indeed.
      Obituaries can be creative too.
That reminds me of a distant relative, who was in the last phase of his life. He expressed his desire to his son about what all should be written in his obituary.
He even selected his photo for this purpose.
And the son did just that, after his father passed away.
Thank you for sharing Rupert and Peggy.

Quite an interesting article Rupert. I really enjoyed it. I never knew you had to pay money for an obituary.

Thanks Peggy. One that didn't make the cut I read some years ago and couldn't find. A man had started his obit with "It has come to my attention that I have died." He carried with the story of his life in a similar vein.

Some gems in there Rupert! I live in Ireland and people over here love reading obituaries (it seems being up to date with the latest obituaries has equal importance to knowing the latest football scores and horse racing results) but I haven't seen this level of creativity yet!

I love these, Rupert. some people are very creative and retain their sense of humour until the end.
    Thanks for sharing this, Peggy.

Another one I recall was the father of a friend who wanted his obituary to read simply "Was that it then?" His wife vetoed this in favour of a traditional send off.

Very interesting article, Rupert. I am stunned at the unique styles of those obituaries shared by you in the article. Some of them are amazing ones. Enjoyed reading all.

This article is posted right after a friend in his 80s asked me, and others, to write our tributes to him, so he could read them. Rupert has inspired me to be creative. Such a humorous, unforgettable article!  Thanks for this good read, Rupert and thanks to you Peggy for sharing the laughs.

    Hi Rupert,

I was happy to share this, and am glad others are enjoying it as much as I did when reading about the creative obituaries.

    Rupert...
This is definitely a rare approach for an obituary, but I have seen it here locally.
It actually makes the person seem more human and it's quite fun to read.

I don't know how the pastor handles it at the funeral...so many of them here often read the obits during the service.
